Then Ninang and I had been talking quite long so I had to say good night because we have to be early tomorrow for the workshop. I’m having fun despite this guilt I am feeling. I JUST CAN’T SLEEP! Seriously. What if she does not accept my apology? Ugh! Darn these hallucinations. Then my phone was ringing..
“ Hello ?” I answered kinda sleepily
“ Vincent dude! Wassup?” My bestfriend Carlo called me up
“ Nothing much.” I just said
“ And it’s the first time you have been awake this late. I know something’s wrong.” Carlo told me
“ Nah. I owe someone such a big apology.” I told him
“ Who? Your new girl?” Carlo asked
“ No silly. 3 month rule.. Anyways. Someone big.” I just try going around the bush
“ WHO?” His tone suddenly changed
“ Laurena.” I just told him
“ Laurena.. Wait.. That superstar geek?” HE asked me
“ Dude she’s not a geek. She’s just smart.. But yeah.. It’s her.” I just gave in
“ DUDE! WHAT’S UP!” Carlo bursted out
“ It’s my misunderstanding.” I told him
“ Uh-uh.. Explain.” Carlo seemed confused
“ Uhm.. She did not want us to break up. Well actually, she wanted Vanessa to realize her mistake. But apparently Vanessa didn’t” I explained
“ Oh really.. And yeah.. You really need to apologize.” Carlo concluded
“ But.. What if she won’t?” I realized
“I don’t think so..” Carlo just told me
“ What do you mean?” I asked
“ She’ll accept it.” Carlo told me
“ WHAT IF!” I emphasized
“ Oh come on! She won’t have lots of friends if she ain’t nice.” Carlo pointed
“ Well maybe.. “ I just said
“ Dude.. Get some sleep. Strength. Confidence.. To say it all tomorrow ok.” Carlo tried to make me fall asleep
“ Ok then. Thanks.” I said before putting it down
I lay down.. And after some time, I am asleep. Then I wake up the next day to my alarm of my phone. I rised up. I fixed my bed. I look at myself in the mirror and I walk out of my room.
“ Morning dad.” I said as I walked out
“ Morning.” He said as I sat down with him for breakfast
“ How was the workshop yesterday?” My dad asked
“ Went fine.” I just said
“ Are you really enjoying all of this?”My dad asked me
“ Yep.” I said with a smile
“ The contract. The training..” My dad pointed out
“ Dad. I love what Im doing .” I answered
“ Are you sure?” My dad asked me
“ Yes po.” I said with a smile
“ You have to thank your ninang a lot.” My dad told me
