Louise POV.

Laurena is becoming so grown up that I am being so proud of her. I remember her being my cute little angel but now she has matured and shined in her own way. The conservatory is such a big opportunity but she has already been in show business since she was young. Its going to be a hard time to pick in such things that I know would mean a lot to her. Her audition would be in a week and I don't know what's going to happen after. Laurena was off to school and Darren was out for work. I had a free day and I was just at home taking some rest. I was eating breakfast then I saw a message pop up on my phone

" Could we meet?" Gary texted all of a sudden

Should I ignore this and pretend I did not see this or should I answer back. I don't know.. I was not in the mood to go out

" I want to catch up." He added to his previous text

That suddenly dragged my mood down.But then after some seconds I decided to reply

" Where and when?" I asked

" Now.. Hmmm.. Maybe where you would spend time with Darren during the old days." He replied

Where I spend time with Darren before. Excuse me but, THERE WERE A LOT!

" Where exactly?" I asked him

" At the milk tea shop." He replied in an instant

I decided to wash up, change and go out. What does he want to talk about all of a sudden. I need a lot of disguise clothing before I go out. This is why I don't actually want to go out at times I don't want to be seen. I got to the car and went to the milk tea shop. I saw him by the glass walls at the store. I entered and good thing he noticed me in just seconds..

" Here.." He said showing me a seat in his table that was vacant

" So what is it that you want to talk about?" I asked him as I sat on the chair he showed me

" I just wanted to catch up with you." He told me

" You know its not that easy to do that right here and now." I told him frankly

" Its been years that we used to hang out freely.." He told me

" Well, things change and things don't stop changing." I told him

" In the contrary, how I wished for things to stay the same the way they were." He told me

" What do you want to point out in this conversation?" I asked boldly feeling slightly irritated already

There was a moment of silence all of a sudden. Then it gave me time to ... I hate it when my brain gives me flashbacks that I do not expect. How things before Darren came. How he actually broke my heart before that.. Wait, I didn't tell you about that before right?

" Could you please just stop?" I requested frankly

" I know I hurt you but – " He was about to speak but

" You know I would not forget that." I just laughed it out with sarcasm

" But you knew I could make it up to you.." He added

" Now who in the world would recklessly lose a girl then try to win her back? Seriously?" I just said feeling some anger rise

" You know too that .." He was about to speak again but

" I'm so sorry. I'm not ready to talk about this." I said standing up planning to leave

" Please just sit down.. I'll try to change the topic." He pleaded

I sat down again. Gosh. Honestly, that was real embarrassing. Good thing people do not recognize me. If they did, I was in big doom after what I did.

" How's Janssen in the company?" He asked

" Doing well..." I just answered

" His dancing brought him somewhere already huh?" He asked me

" Well, if you believed in him since the beginning.. things might have been better." I kid around

" Excuse me?" He said thinking of it as an assault

" It seemed like he had that talent since the beginning." I tried to rephrase what I said

" Maybe.. That his mother saw first." He added

" Still playing?" I asked him

" Not that much as I used to." He said

" So that's why the sports channel is getting as boring as ever." I suddenly uttered feeling a little lighter going through the conversation

" Well, its the host's fault at times too." He added making the both of us smile all of a sudden.

" Did Janssen ever appreciate the sport?" I asked

" He did .. I thought it was something I could pass to him but after all this time, he had hidden passion. Moving his body to the beat." He told me

" And that kid is going to have a bright future in the industry" I told him

" What I'm just scared of is that he might get tired of it all of a sudden." He told me

" I can see that he loves what he's doing and I believe he won't think of such." I told him just so he could feel safe for Janssen for a moment

" Laurena looks a lot like you when we were best friends" Gary told me all of a sudden

" Well, its good you realized where your goddaughter got her good looks from." I bragged a bit with that statement

" And your godson has no father to give him such talent which makes me guilty at times." He cracks a joke going with the flow of my somewhat arrogance .. more like a game of bragging

" Hoping that we were as close as them.." He added

" It could have if been if you didn't push me away all of a sudden." I said rolling my eyes

" I didn't mean to hurt you then.." He explained

" Are you kidding? I dropped too much hints but ... are you just really blind?" I sorta raised my voice

" I was scared." He uttered

" Scared of what?" I asked him

" Scared that if I would go the extra mile everything would just shatter. That I am misinterpretting the things you're showing me." He said stuttering

That left me in shock. Seriously. After all this time, but its too late. Maybe its actually time we should know. We must just know the reason not anymore act upon the reason.

" That sacrifice I did.. was because.." He started

" Please do not make me think about that again!" I demanded him to stop immediately

" It was my choice to do it." He said

" And you didn't know that would cause more chaos? More things unexpected.. You little.." I was about to burst out

" Im sorry." He cut me off with my talking

" You know that sorry can't do anything anymore right?" I said walking away with no second thoughts this time.

I had to pick up Laurena since it was their exams already. Time flies quickly, doesn't it? I drove with Manong Clemente to Laurena's school. I started to shed tears realizing what I have done to a trusted friend because of my temper.. gosh..

" Mam Louise?" Manong Clemente called me out

" Yes?" I answered wiping the tears I let go dripping on my cheeks

" Everything would be fine. You know that mam." Manong Clemente told me

In minutes, we were at Laurena's school. It was exactly that she came out of her classroom. She entered the car and saw my bulging eyes

" Mom.. Are you ok?" She asked me

" Im fine sweetheart. Just came from the cinema after watching a heart touching movie." I said
