The Game

Gosh.. Every body know is thinking I am inlove and with whom? UGH! Anyways... I have to become the captain of our team. Just this once I'll not screw this up. It was a weekend the next day and  it was the day of our little game. I don't why things kept running through my mind making me so nervous and all.I just scanned through my phone. I went through my pictures during my debut peformance at ASAP. Gosh what a feeling.

" Janssen!" My dad caught me

" Seriously dad?" I just uttered feeling embarassed

" Your game is today right?"My dad asked me

" Yep.." I just mumbled

" Go. Get ready. Get ready to become the captain." My dad told me

" WOW! Could you.. help me?" I asked my dad.. for the first time in forever

" OK then.. " My dad said with a smile

I started running and all. Getting warmed up for the game. I still want to play and all. Then all of a sudden

" Have breakfast.. Don't starve yourself" Dad said bringing out a tray outside

" OK dad." I said with a smile. And it was a first that dad prepared my breakfast.

"I bet you're mom's gonna get mad at me." Dad told me

" Why?" I suddenly wondered

" Because she's seeing you play already which she thought I would force you to." My dad opened up

" But I know she would be happy up there no matter what." I told my dad with a smile

" Play with heart. Learn how to feel others." My dad advised me again

" OK dad. I'll just change up the I am ready." I told him with a smile

" That's my boy!" My dad said as I went to get prepared.

Time flies and my team met up somewhere before we go to the basketball court

" TEAM CAPTAIN!" They all jinxed as I came

" Woah woah woah.. Not yet.. But if you want me to.. Help me out in this game." I told them

" Sure!" They all jinxed

I huddle them up and tell them the plan and a bit of inspirational words  before it starts. Then we headed for the school's basketball court. Good thing it was open actually. Then like we headed for the basketball court. Joshua's team came earlier. Then like.

" Ready?" He said with a smile

WOAH! It was like he was so aggressive to have a fight and now its like he's smiling and all the like. I don't also want to think that he was faking it all. Before the start of the game.. WE had quite a talk

" Good luck." He told me

" I never knew you were this crazy." I told him

" What do you mean?" He asked me

" A bet for feelings?" I tried to screw him up

" Well, you wanted to become captain." He suddenly showed up infront of me with pride

" And I did not want to go against you and you're making up a story because of feelings." I told him the mere truth

" Why are you not?" He tried to start a fight

"Feelings should not over be a game. And I believe she would not like a boy acting as a war freak. Nevertheless, she might prefer that you would calm down." I told him

" Getting a point with the ball won't score a girl's heart." I added

Then the game began. But look I am serious. If he just challenged me because he had a gutt feeling that... What the heck. I am playing because I wanted to be captain like I wanted.. Not to bet over some feelings. So far my team was doing well. But the first quarter ended with us having a tie. Then we had like a short break.

" Nice one guys" I told me team mates

" Nice play too." They told me

" Just remember, this is teamwork.. Dribble then pass to another.. So no one would be traveling. It's all about trust." I told them

" Yes captain!" They already called me by that. WOW. That trust.

" Let's do this!" I told them

The game was going smooth until.. What? Am I seeing this right? It's Laurena and Coleen coming to watch us.  And I believe that is what boosted Joshua to do well. Gosh. Inspiration as they say. Well, once I was that happy but I believe I am happier now. Then like.

" Janssen!" My team mate passed me the ball and got back to my senses

" Got it!" I told him as I try to run to the other court and try to get some three points and I was successful. XD

Boom! And who won? Well, It was me. But darn it was a close fight actually...

" You were right. " Joshua told me

" But nice game." I told him to cheer him up

" JOSHUA!" Laurena called her up

Told you. You can't win a girl's heart with a ball. Anyways, finally! Team Captain. Wow.. Just.. Wow..

" You did a great job." Laurena told Joshua

" Really?" Joshua asked Laurena

" Yep." She showed off.. What.. That smile.. That was a first.. I don't know it was different I could say

" You OK captain?" They asked me

" Yeah..." I just told them

" You sure?" One asked

" Why?" I just asked them

" A frown all of a sudden" They told me

Ugh! What kind of malfunction to this? Anyways.. Time flies quick and it was time to go home already. Of course, we needed to rest already. Before that, I wanted to drop by the milk tea shop. To bring some for dad as like something like our snack at the house to also celebrate my little victory.  Then I came home

" Dad.." I said as I entered the house

" That was kinda quick." My dad said coming out of nowhere

"Yeah.." I said

" How was it?" My dad asked me

" team Captain." I just uttered with a blank face

" Congrats." My dad greeted me with joy

" Woah.. What's the purpose of your face?" My dad asked me as he started to sip his milk tea

" What?" I just uttered

" You frowned all of a sudden." My dad told me

" Maybe.. I just got a bit tired and all." I just made an excuse

Seriously? Why am I feeling a bit blue?
