Calm Down

I had to go home and pretend that everything is fine so there would be no interrogations. So that I could stay in my bedroom and just scream under my pillow and I just did that thing. I can't even say this to Coleen. I mean it's gonna break her heart into pieces. I just head to my piano and let it all out by playing but I have to control it or else I'll get a lecture from Mom about handling it for an hour

" Hey sweetheart." Mom said coming near me

" Hi mom." I said hugging her tight

" Been playing for how long?" She asked

" Just for a few minutes.." I told her

" Hmmm.. And you never get tired of that piece." She said looking at the piece that was ready on the piano. My audition piece for the conservatory in Japan was my favorite since then. Before Mom became the fangirl superstar, she stayed in the conservatory and had some formal training.

" Why is it so silent?" Dad said coming from nowhere ( How do they do that)

" Maybe the house is filled with ghosts just roaming around." Mom answered in the funniest way possible - _ -

"I think I have something that could break the silence." Dad said holding up an envelope

I grabbed it from his hands. I looked at the back of the envelope. It came from the conservatory I applied for. I suddenly felt excited and nervous. I'm sure this is the result. I opened the envelope carefully and I saw the letter and my parents stared at me giving the signal to read it out loud

" Dear Mr and Ms. Espanto.." I started

I already saw the first line and I seriously wanted to freak out but I am trying my best to control

" Your child, Laurena A. Espanto is qualified to study in our conservatory in its main campus. Please fill up the form at the bottom of this letter and send it back to the address of our school written in the envelope our to our e-mail " I said as my voice turns into a freak out mode and I cannot continue longer.

' Congratulations sweetheart" Mom said hugging me so tight

" I though I wouldn't make it through." I said feeling so shocked and amazed for myself

" Why do you always underestimate yourself?" Dad asked me giving me a tighter hug than ever

" I don't know.. But.. THIS IS SO AMAZING!" I told them freaking out.. again

" I'm going to miss my little girl." Mom said looking at me with a blank face

" Come on Mom. I've got FaceTime and Skype." I said to cheer her up

" And you need to be there by vacation my dear, you'll need to adjust." Dad said

Thinking about all the changes that have to happen, I suddenly realize I'm gonna leave a lot of things here but at least I'm pursuing this and once I get back here... It's going to give me a fortune in a way.

" I'm just so proud..." Mom said starting to tear up

" Mom, please don't cry.." I said trying to stop it before it falls down

" Oh my gosh sweetie.. you've grown up.." She said sobbing already

Times does pass by quickly

Quickly that it seemed like it was just the beginning but its almost the end
