I tried to make my move

I tried to make my move. Come over and help Zeph, murder this Evander guy.
I had a hand raised, ready to say something, when Evander turned to me and pressed the button.
And that's when it happened.
The suit malfunctioned. I heard the sound of cables burning through before the metal pieces of the endoskeleton tightened around me and broke every bone in my body, digging deeply into my skin and organs.
A loud screech escaped my throat and I tried to get the helmet off as the metal bars inside dug themselves into my skull and brain. This was going so fast, I could feel how the blood ran down my face and every other part of my body. This hot, sticky liquid... Everything smelled and tasted like metal.
With a yell I finally tore the helmet off, but that was a mistake. Everything went black and I felt a metal bar sever my spine as I dropped into the suit, letting out a weak pant. I couldn't see anymore, I only felt a weird sensation coming from the inside of my skull. Althea screeched when she saw me and the metal pieces stuck in my head. I didn't judge her for that reaction.
Zephyr and Evander immediately sprinted over to get me out of the suit. I managed to let out a whimpered "Zeph..." before I finally passed out.

"I need the cloth."
"H-Here!"
"Dip it in the water."
I could only make out faint voices. How...? I thought I was dead...
"You better fix this mess once he's back awake."
"I-I will! I'm so sorry! I didn't know this would happen!"
"Why did you even remove the safety locks?!"
Three voices... I don't recognize them.
A warm and wet cloth was being rubbed over my arm, removing blood. I didn't feel pain, every feeling was extremely dull and faint. Almost like a gentle mother taking care of her sick son and rubbing over his head in a gentle way.
I relaxed as the cloth seemingly cleansed me. When it ran over my face, I noticed something odd.
There were supposed to be metal bars there...
There wasn't tho.
I got confused and tried to open my eyes and look, but I couldn't. I assume I'm still too weak.
A small sigh escaped one of the people around me. "You'll be paying for every metal bar we had to remove, Evander.", the voice growled loudly. A second voice, Evander, whimpered.  "I will... Just let me help you with him, I didn't know the suit would crush him like that...!", he tried to explain, only to get hissed at by someone. "Don't even try, you little bitch! I made that suit so you can do your job, the thing you said that they were for! I never built them to be killing machines, hence why they had the safety mechanism!", Hero growled. I started to slowly regain full consciousness and control over my body. A bit hesitant I tried to open my eyes again, which barely worked. Everything was just so hard...
What I immediately noticed is that my right eye only saw darkness. That immediately made me panic and I tried to get away, but the three people immediately stopped me and gently pressed me onto the bed. I whimpered and kept trying, but to no avail. My body was still in shock, it started to fade now. And with that, the agony finally showed up that I missed before.
I couldn't even bring out a single sound, my throat let out a silent scream. Hero worriedly eyed me and caressed my arm in an attempt to calm me down. Zeph was also there, next to Althea and Evander.
Latter one had been tied up, his hands however had been freed so he can help.
I panted heavily and tried to sit up once I was a bit calmer, my body hurt like hell. Hero gently, but determinedly, pushed me back onto the bed. "Stay down, Nightmare. Your spine was severed and you still aren't healed up enough. We just finished removing the Endo from you.", he informed me. I barely listened, just nodding a tad bit when I noticed that I didn't feel my legs. From my hips downwards, where the Endo broke into my back and sides, everything was completely empty.
I grabbed the blanket and carefully pulled it away, taking a glance to see what was going on.
What I saw terrified me.
They had managed to remove the Endo, but there were deep burn wounds where the metal was. Thick, white bandages were wrapped around my torso, legs and arms, former going all the way up to my throat. At least the blood was almost fully removed...
I let out a whimper and tried to move my legs, which didn't work at all.
A small pair of arms put themselves around mine, staying incredibly careful. I looked at what that was, noticing Althea next to me, having climbed up and still crying. I hesitated a bit before slowly lying back down onto the bed, hugging her with one arm. She whimpered and snuggled up to me, watching my reactions.
Slowly but surely I started to calm down, sighing weakly. Zeph smiled at that and sat down by my side, next to Althea. "How are you feeling, sweetie?", he asked softly.
He was so much different than before... Did this somehow fix him? Clear his mind or something? Or did Evander manage to remove the spell?
I gave up on thinking about that since it gave me a headache. "W-What's going on?", I mumbled quietly. He sighed worriedly. "The suit malfunctioned and crushed you. We needed to use a crowbar to pry the suit open. The metal heated up from the malfunction and burnt itself into your skin, so we had to stay extra careful. Hero heard the scream, you were loud enough to make everyone hear that. So Jay, Hero and Xander came running. Hero noticed what was going on and helped break open the metal and remove the staffs that dug themselves into your chest. After that we managed to to get you out, even if that was a very... Bloody action. We got you up here, undressed you and removed the rest of the Endo up here, healing you up slowly but surely. Your spine will still take a while to heal, and...", he explained before hesitating.
I frowned a bit. "W-What is it...?"
Hero, Evan and Zeph looked at each other, visibly worried to say something.
Eventually Hero took a deep breath. "Nightmare. You're blind on one eye, the metal staff dug itself through it and almost killed you. You also will have a headache for a long time, you managed to break open your skull."
The last message already didn't reach me, the knowledge that I'd be blind on one eye is something that completely destroyed me.
I'd rather be colorblind instead of actually blind...
