At first I paused a bit when he teleported us out, needing a few moments to understand what has just happened.
Then the explosion ripped me out of my thoughts, the ground shaking as if there was a massive earthquake.
I shot up and tried to run over to the bunker, panicking. Red tried to hold me back, but pretty quickly gave up when he saw the desperation in my eyes.
Hollow however grabbed me by the back of my shirt. I screeched and struggled. "LET ME GO!!!", I yelled, tearing up. He pulled me up to him, grabbed my shoulders and glared at me. "HE'S IN THE-"
"HE'S DEAD, JAY!!!"
I paused when Hollow broke through my mind with that, staring at him. He seemed surprised about his own raised voice, so he had to gather himself for a moment before he let out a softer sigh. "Jay, there's absolutely no way he survived that. Give it a few moments, otherwise you won't even get to get him out of there since you'd suffocate from the carbon dioxide in there. Especially you should know not to go into a bunker that just nearly got exploded!", he tried to talk sense into me.
I whimpered and held onto his rather hard arms, probably from the muscles. Or because he's tense.
Tho even through my own feelings I could feel his sadness, his pain. Not only mental pain tho...
I leaned against his chest with my head, trying to calm down. He put his arms around me, letting me listen to his heart beating. It was uneven and a bit strained, he seemed to force himself down a lot.
I closed my eyes, sniffing. Tears ran down my cheeks as I felt Hero approach and hug me from the side. A whimper escaped me when Red and the others joined, tightly hugging me and Hollow.
A faint smell of blood hit my nose and I glanced up, a bit worried. Hollow kept his eyes averted, but there were tears made of blood dripping over his cheeks. I reached up and carefully wiped them away before going back to hiding in his chest.
We hugged until I was more calm and collected, letting out rather deep breaths.
Hollow softly squeezed me once more before letting go. The hug ended and I wanted to wipe my own tears when I felt that Red already did so.
He gently wiped them away, giving me a soft smile. I smiled back a bit before glancing at the others. They seemed very hesitant to do what would now have to be done...
"Bell, you're staying here with the others please.", Hollow ordered, sounding a bit tired. She nodded and stayed with them as he turned to me. "We two are heading inside."
"I want to come too!", Red protested. Hollow sighed. "Redrare, you literally just heard what happened. Notch was just as stubborn as you currently are, do you want to follow in his steps or something?", he asked, sharper than I expected. Red glared at him a bit before softening up to my surprise and nodding. "Then I'll help Bellatrix here.", he offered instead. Hollow smiled and agreed to that.
Red went to the others and Hollow lead me inside, taking a small breath. "Well... Let's hope he's not looking too bad...", he mumbled softly as he walked down the hallway. I followed nervously, uneasy. "What, if she's still alive?", I asked him. He hesitated a bit before he answered. "I'm praying she isn't, but I can't promise anything sadly...", he replied after a while, looking around.
We kept walking until we arrived at the room, now completely dark due to the explosion. Hollow grabbed his flashlight and glanced at me, waiting for me to be ready. I nervously nodded and got ready for whatever is about to follow.
He turned on the flashlight and walked in.
I took a small peak inside before screaming and backing up. Hollow flinched a bit in surprise, not expecting this at all. There was a severed arm lying right in front of him, a leg a bit further away. Sylvies' body parts on the other hand were mainly pulverised on the ceiling, I only saw a hand lying nearby.
I panted heavily in fear as Hollow came back and gently took my hand to calm me down. "It's alright, she's dead... But we need to get him out of there too."
A few minutes passed before I was ready to walk inside again. Hollow held my hand this time, gently squeezing it in a reassuring way. I bit my lip, slowly panicking again as we saw the two body parts and the blood splatters.
Hollow trailed the light of the flashlight around the room before moving on to the walls, slowly searching over them. More and more blood seemed to be there, until we found the source.
My breathing stopped when I saw him, sitting against the wall as if he was leaning back after a long day of work, attempting to relax. His partly missing face showed that he wasn't scared at the explosion, there would be a small smile on his lips if his jaw wasn't hanging by only a few muscles. His entire chest and stomach area had been torn open, the collar was a mess of molten metal and burnt leather, he was missing his arms and a leg. Organs and bones were surrounding him, I could barely see them from all the blood and debris tho.
Hollow frowned softly in sadness before pausing. "Shit...", he mumbled, slowly inching closer. He examined the body carefully before pulling away. "His heart is beating... Could be from the shock.", he said out loud then. I whimpered loudly, not wanting him to be in this sort of pain.
Hollow took a deep breath before glancing over. "What do we do...?", he asked, visibly unsure.
I didn't know either, not noticing Notch watching us ever so slightly.
