I took a shaky breath before releasing it when I realized who was in front of me, holding the wolves back from tearing me to pieces.
Centi, Absentia and Mitchell came over, all three returning from their mission in the Aether. Centi went to me and smiled before looking at the wolves and telling them something in mob language. Mitch came with some bandages and helped Absentia fix up Jubilea, very gentle.
The wolves backed off and went back into the forest, making me sigh in relief. This was good, this was even better than good.
Absentia gently took Jubilea from me, setting him onto his back. He was going to carry the realm, so I could take a deep breath and relax a bit from the stress. Mitch sat down in front of me and took care of a few scratch wounds I received as a result of this endeavor. I didn't mind, watching as he very carefully bound up my arm before smoothly cutting off the rest with his claws. He pushed the end under the bandage and picked me up, putting me onto his shoulders. I yelped a bit, holding onto him tightly as he picked up Centi as well, who tightly hugged me from behind, giggling.
In that formation we headed home, Absentia leading the way.
I glanced over to Centi, who was snuggling up to my back, happy. "Heya, sweetie.", I whispered. He looked up at me and smiled brightly. "Hewwo!", he cutely said and hugged me a bit tighter. I smiled and held him close, really happy.
I'm glad he's back at least, I need him.We arrived at our home after a few more days. Centi told me it was Friday, so I was even more confused when the others weren't around. Usually they'd clean the house at Fridays, but it was oddly silent.
"Where are they?", I mumbled quietly, surprised. Centi frowned as Absentia sniffed the air, immediately getting into a defensive position. Jubilea wasn't awake, his breathing had gone raspy and weak, but he was still with us.
Mitch tilted his head a bit. "What's going on, Abz?", he asked. Absentia looked over and replied with something I couldn't understand. Mitch understood and took a deep breath. "There's blood in the air, he can smell it. Something isn't right, but there wasn't an attack. The door is fine, there are no corpses, no visible blood.", he told us. I nodded slowly. "Maybe someone got hurt inside?", I suggested. Mitch thought a bit before letting Centi down. "Centi, Abz, look at the bottom floor. Me and Jura are gonna look at the top floor.", he told them. The cat and dog both nodded and got to work while Mitch walked around the house with me, peaking into every room. I helped, listening closely to if I could hear anything.
We rounded the house almost completely until I finally heard the voices of Zeph and Hero, seemingly talking to someone. It was a bedroom, so I took a look inside.
Nightmare was on the bed, covered in bandages from head to toe. There were a ton of metal staffs in the back of the room, covered in red, nearly black blood. Nighty stared at the wall with one eye, the other one covered by a bandage and seemingly not listening at all while Hero explained something about his eye. He seemed shaken up, which soon made Hero pause.
Althea looked at the window and shot up when she spotted me in it, giggling and clapping. "Jura!", she cheered. Zeph looked over, surprised, before coming and opening the window for me. I hopped inside with Mitchell's help, smiling. "Heya!", I greeted them. Nighty turned his head to me, surprised and snapping a bit out of his trance. He waved a small bit, not saying much tho. I tilted my head while the others greeted me too. "What happened to you, Nightmare?", I asked softly. Nighty glanced back at the ground, sighing weakly. "I... got crushed..."
"By Zephs' thighs?"
"No, by a metal suit."
I fell silent at that, shocked. A bit confused I glanced at the metal bars before realizing why they're here. "That must've hurt...", I mumbled. He shook his head a small bit. "No, definitely didn't.", he muttered sarcastically. "I definitely didn't get a metal rod through the head, tore that helmet off of me, had half my bones shattered and was screeching in agony." I took a sharp breath through my teeth. "Ah, sorry to hear that mate."
"I'm blind on one side too...", he added after a bit. I froze before glancing at him. "Wait, for real?", I asked, surprised. He nodded slowly. "Yeah..
The rod destroyed my eye...", he mumbled. I worriedly sighed. "This is bad..."
We stayed silent for a while before just talking a bit while Mitch and the other two finally came in, getting comfy. Red came too to check on Nighty, but relaxed rather quickly when he saw the demon being visibly more calm and cheerful from the conversations. Hero went to Red and nuzzled him softly, and they talked for a small while rather quietly. Red eventually started to blush, embarrassed about something. I watched some more as Hero had that sly smirk on his lips, giggling. "You can't say that!", Reddie whispered, glancing away shyly. "Yes I can, and I just proved you wrong~", he purred back. Red huffed in embarrassment and grabbed him by his collar, pulling him down. "Be careful I won't prove you wrong when I push that dick into you.", he mumbled rather quietly. I snorted a bit when Hero went fully red, somehow managing to go even redder than Red himself. "Y-You wouldn't.", he replied, trying to sound confident. Red just smirked and whispered something, making Hero hide his face. I giggled and went over. "Get a room you two, it seems that you two need to get laid!", I joked. Red let go of the collar around Hero's neck, thinking a bit. "You know what? We just might!", he replied after a bit and dragged Hero off. I snickered and watched, sighing softly. This guy is gonna have a massive pain in the ass, that's for sure.
