Each day that Sylvie tried to break my mind, she got further and further.
We were here since a week now. Only once did I feel the presence of the others nearby, frantically searching for us, but this place was way too hidden. Zeph and me were barely shadows of our old selves, but there was no doubt that I got the short end of the stick. I was extremely thin, Zeph had been forced to rip out a lot of my bones. He hated every second, but I told him to keep that up. At one point she'd have to finally give up, right...?
Today was different than usual. Sylvie came in with a few chains, freeing Zeph as usual. Then she turned to me, eyeing me. Then she grinned. "We'll tie you up against the wall and whip you to death.", she purred, freeing me.
My fingers had no claws, my feet were destroyed and I had no more powers left. So I was unable to do anything. They had used up all adrenaline syringes on my sorry ass, the last one didn't work so Sylvie forced me to wake up with a bunch of magic.
I panted tiredly, struggling weakly against her as she roughly pulled me up, bringing me to a wall with multiple hooks in it. Then she left, to our surprise.
Zeph came over and gently hugged me, extremely careful with my injuries. I hid in his shoulders, whimpering softly. He caressed my cheek, attempting to calm me down a bit.
We stayed in this position for a long time until Sylvie returned, seeing us. "Part, you two. Unless you want me to murder you both.", she growled.
Zeph bit his tongue and glanced at me, seeing that I teared up. I was mentally destroyed, this was the first real hug since a long time. And now she forced us to part.
"Just leave us alone, I don't even know what I have done to you...!", I whimpered. She glared at me, raising the whip. "Dare talking back once more?", she asked sharply. I growled lowly, daring her.
She gave me a hard hit, immediately making me scream out and collapse. Zeph caught me in shock as the wounds started to burn much more than I expected. I couldn't breathe, this was pure torture.
Sylvie giggled. "It's poison tipped~", she purred. "With quite a brutal poison as well~" Zeph panicked and tried to help me, but couldn't do much.
She watched as the poison slowly ate me up from my inside, smirking. Zeph held me close, whimpering loudly. Sylvie let out a loud growl. "Get away from him.", she hissed. Zeph hissed at her in anger, pissed. She was about to hit us with the whip again when we heard a sound from somewhere down hallway. Sylvie perked up, alarmed, and went to the door.
Zeph flinched when I screeched and attacked with the last strength I had, managing to grab her and put my legs around her waist. Since I was much lighter than before, this didn't make her fall, but she stumbled and tried to get me off, grabbing my hands which still hurt like hell. I clenched my teeth hard and stayed on, attempting to force her onto the ground and praying that someone was listening, that whatever was out there would run over...
Sylvie wrapped the whip around my throat in my moment of hesitance, choking me with it. I screeched and struggled to get it off while keeping her where she was.
Zeph grabbed the metal bar and slammed it against her legs, making her fall to her knees. I felt the ground beneath my feet, having a more stable stand now.
Zeph raised the bar again, wanting to hit her on the head, but stopped when Sylvie grabbed the handle of the whip, grinning evilly and pulling on one side.
The pieces of metal that covered the rope of the whip tore through my neck as it loosened and slipped off, the wound immediately exploding with pain. I stumbled back and let her go, trying to cover the wound. I couldn't breathe, all that I saw was blood spraying out from the wound. Zeph ran over to try and help, but couldn't anymore. All he could do by now is hold me close, covering the open cuts to try and slow this blood flow.
The door flung open and I only heard Sylvie scream in pain, falling to the ground in front of us. My vision was extremely blurry, I couldn't make out who that was that came to our rescue. All that I saw was the faint glow of a war axe, definitely not Jura's tho, followed by the shot of a gun as Sylvie went limp, blood coming from a dark spot between her eyes, beneath the crown.
My breathing went even raspier when I noticed Zeph scooting backwards, terrified. "D-Don't get too close, you two...!", he yelled. A male voice sighed. "Calm down, we want to help you two." Another voice, this time female, spoke up. "Your friends are informed of your location, they're on their way here. Let go of him, I have some potions with me to help."
Zephyrs' breathing hitched, but after a small bit his hand slid off of mine. I felt the woman crouch down in front of me, heard her look for something on her belt, before I felt a cloth being pressed against the arteries in my neck, slowing the flow. It soon got pretty warm as she put a potion on it, slowly fixing up the worst wounds.
While the sweet smelling potion took effect, the man, having surprisingly gentle and quiet steps, went to Zeph. "Come here, we'll bring you out of here."
"You tortured Hero so much tho...", he replied weakly. The man sighed a bit. "We can talk about that more later, now we have a different problem. Now come on."
Zephyr got up with the mans' help as the woman put my right arm over her shoulder, picking me up with shocking strength. Then we made our way out of the room, slow and careful.
The air felt much fresher as we walked down the hallway. A faint red line covered the ground, starting to glow as we walked over it. Redstone dust...
We kept walking until I got hit by sunlight like it was a boulder. My first reaction was a heavy flinch and closing my eyes in pain. I felt the woman cover my eyes so it doesn't hurt too badly. I relaxed a bit and leaned more onto my savior, exhausted. Only now did I noticed how extremely much my body ached.
Soon enough a lot more footsteps were heard and Zeph let out a sigh in relief as Jay and the others arrived.
