I had Hazel on my back, like always. She was playing with my wings again, hiding in them and examining them. She was a very, very... Exploratory and tender young lady. A small sigh escaped me when she crawled up to my shoulders, having her head in my left one and looking at me. I looked at her as well, head tilted, as she happily giggled and blepped. A little smile spread over my lips and I gently kissed her nose. Hazel started to giggle more, bouncing a bit on my back. She's so cheerful, unknowing of the dangers of the real world. Always expecting that something great happened... I lied down more flat so she doesn't fall off, staring into the abyss. "Mitchell?" I looked over, refusing to move a lot tho. "Yes?". A realm came up to me, being quite buff but also pretty thin. He was one of the more simple looking ones, having a normal hair color and eye color, but unusual strength. "I have some questions... Can you help me?", he asked. I looked a tad confused, not exactly sure how a realm could come into the void without much trouble, or even me noticing, but nodded. "Ask ahead.", I replied. "Okay... So, we have a bunch of problems up there. Mainly regarding our "small" family. Remember Sylvie?", he started. I frowned slightly. "I do, why?" "What happened to her?" "She got blown up and injured Notch on the way. Since then I haven't heard anything of her. A shame that they are siblings... Sylvie is a massive difference towards Notch, it's insane to see that happening without a single second of hesitation.", I told him. He nodded slightly. "Is she alive?", he asked. I thought a bit. "Hm... I'm not entirely sure. It could be, but it's also likely that she's fully dead. I does however mean that Red, Hero and the rest will be in a ton of troubles if that is the case.", I accurately described the situation. Jesse seemed satisfied with that answer. "If that's the case, we realms will stand beside them!" "They'll desperately need that help." "Alright. Well, what's gonna happen to that dragon?" "Who knows? It can leave. But it can also stay. But it might still be a point of interest. Not the only one, but it can definitely either help or needs to die." Hazel perked up when I said die, climbing down and hiding between my arms, whimpering. I kissed her on the head, keeping her safe as she crawled under me. "Why does it need to die?", she asked carefully. I softly nuzzled her. "It might be the only chance to defend yourself from it, sweetheart. But like I said, maybe it'll cooperate and help." "I really hope so!" I found that really adorable, so I kept showering her with kisses while Jesse watched. "What about Notch?" I looked over in confusion at that. "What about him? You know I'm not exactly allowed to talk about the dead, Jesse.", I cleared things up. He hesitated and scratched the back of his neck. "Well, not like I would tell anyone, and it's just us three.", he hesitantly tried to persuade me. I raised an eyebrow before sighing deeply. "You better not fuck me over, Jesse.", I growled lowly. Hazel immediately petted the lines on my sides to calm me down again, worried about me and Jesse. He gently shook his head. "I don't have a reason for that, Mitchell." I relaxed a bit. "I'm quite glad that you're telling me this.", he added. Clearing my throat quietly I took a deep breath. "He's not dead. Nor is he alive.", I started slowly. "Notch's body has taken a ghostly state. His soul is lost, he wanders the thin line between life and death. The Grim Reaper is reaching his boney hand out for him, but the Angels keep him on the line, praying to safe him. A unknown force is refusing him his sweet relief, gives him more and more pain without injuring him. His fate is unknown, since that force ripped him away from the judgement. No one knows what will happen now, if he stays passive, turns hostile or pacifistic. At any second he could give in and attack or protect his people. His husband will have a new mission objective. He'll try his best to find him, but I don't know if he will succeed. It is way too slim of a chance between both to speculate the outcome, but with a ton of teamwork, hope and determination a happy ending might be achievable. I don't see sacrifice on their path, but I see blood and darkness. A darkness that shuts out the light...", I mumbled. "One about wisdom, one about agility. One that can create, one that can break. One that listens, one that suffers. One that's Red, one that's Blue. Fate forced them to keep their ways parted, but now it's time to bond them in the ways of Love. Tho, if that won't happen, the world will fall into despair. More than what it will already experience. The time is short, the danger close. A single hesitation, and it will all go down..." Jesse perked up at that. "It's been a while since you last heard the prophecy, right? Yeah, it isn't even done yet...", I chuckled. Hazel tilted her head. "What are you implying...?", Jesse asked, surprisingly sharp. I just smirked and got up, putting my little girl on my shoulders. She held on as I raised myself to my full height. "What I am saying is...", I started gently. "Is that the prophecy itself has only now started to take full effect. Do not throw away your shot, Jesse. They'll desperately need that help." Jesse stared at me as I turned away and left, hands crossed behind my back. A small grin snuck onto my lips. So many years have I been waiting for this moment, and now it finally happened. My time has come. I felt Jesse teleport away and snickered, turning into my real form. Hazel held on, watching in awe as I gently ran my hand down my black cloak. "We're gonna have a lot of fun. Henory returned, small people.", I whispered, readjusting my scythe. Hazel seemed perplexed as I walked to the edge between life and death, eyeing the faint ghost sitting on it. "And you, my friend, will be our ally." He looked over with dull, brown eyes, before nodding calmly and getting up. A new era has come, and with it a new challenge.
