"Brielle!" A voice called causing me to snap awake. Too quickly seeing as I then lost my balance and fell. It wasn't a far drop down from the branch I was laying on, but my stomach met the ground quicker than I thought it would. A sharp pain erupted in my stomach, knocking the air out of me. It felt like I had just been punched in the gut.

"Holt shit! I'm so sorry!" The voice said. It was Avery.

I quickly pulled myself together and stood up. There was dirt all over my clothes, but I might have to get used to that.

"It's fine! Don't worry about it," I said with a small laugh.

"Are you sure?" Avery asked.

"Positive."

"If you say so. You ready to continue that tour?" Avery asked politely. I nodded before she continued to walk in the direction of some buildings.

While we were walking, I managed to catch a glimpse of another small group of people. A boy, girl, and another boy.

"Who are they?" I asked pointing over in their direction with my thumb.

Avery turned to look. "Oh! Those are the other new people, Denis is showing them a tour and telling them all the basics. They should be getting their names back soon."

There was silence for a moment while we watched Denis lead them over to the garden. One of the new people stopped and turned around to look at us before giving a small wave—which we returned kindly—and continuing on.

"Anyways," Avery said breaking the silence, "Let me show you something." She grabbed my arm and started pulling in the direction of the lake. I giggled as I started to jog with her.

I haven't been over by the water at all yet. It was a sky blue color and so clear you could see every pebble on the bottom. Lily pads resting on the top of the water and bees buzzed around all the flowers that surrounded the lake. The waterfall was smooth and calm, reminding me again how peaceful this place is.

"Brielle! Over here!" Avery called while waving her hand in the air for me to see. I quickly walked over to her and I looked at what she wanted me to see.

It was part of the Maze wall, but had a lot of names on it. I quickly counted them. Fifteen. Fifteen names written in blood that was now dried up a little. I read the names silently to myself:

Avery
Liam
Claire
Thomas
Denis
Tanner
Isla
Dylan
Miles
Gulia
Anthony
Amber
Ivy
Devyn
Brielle

"We get someone new every day or two. You were supposed to come up with the other two, but didn't. It was the first time three people came up at once," Avery explained looking at all the names.

"So how many people have come up so far?" I asked. About a million different questions swam through my head, but half of them couldn't be answered. Especially since these people don't know any of their own memories.

"Dylan, me, you, Denis, Liam, Gulia, Amber, and the other two new people. That makes nine out of fifteen." Avery calculated while still looking at the wall—more specifically her own name.

"I have to warn you, Liam is an asshole. Don't talk with him and don't let him bring you down," Avery stated breaking her gaze from the wall and patting me on the shoulder. Her eyes shifted up to my head, "He has horns like yours, same color too,"

"I didn't know I had horns," I said, although it was technically a lie. I heard what one of the girls said to me when I got out of the box, but I just brushed it off.

I walked over to the lake and stared down at my reflection. I hadn't been able to get a good look at myself yet. I had brown goggles sitting on top of my head, and red horns that the goggles rested upon. My eyes were a pinkish red and I had on the same kind of boots as Dylan. I had on black leather gloves that covered my palms, but not my fingers. I was also carrying two small pouches on my belt with absolutely nothing inside of it.

"Liam!" Avery suddenly yelled from behind me. I turned to see Avery running off to follow a brunette who was walking over to the maze entrance. I quickly followed and saw that everyone else had stopped what they were doing to try and stop Liam. What the hell is he doing?

As I got closer I could hear yelling.

"Relax, Avery. I wasn't even going to go in," The same brunette said. "I was just looking."

"Yeah right! Liam you've tried going in the maze ever since you've arrived!" Avery retorted obviously frustrated with the male's action.

Liam rolled his eyes, "Whatever. I just don't wanna stay in here with a bunch of idiots."

Liam started walking away before looking at me and the other new people behind me. "Oh great," He said, "More people to just screw everything up."

"Go do something useful for once instead of just standing around doing nothing," Avery stated walking over to the rest of us.

We watched as Liam walked away to go do whatever Liam does.

"I'm so sorry about him," Denis said. His raven black hair glimmered in the sunlight. He had freckles that matched perfectly with his brown skin. A red eight sat in the middle of his light gray shirt. A navy blue jacket surrounded his shirt and he wore brown worker type boots with dark jeans. His cyan eyes reminded me of the lake I looked into earlier.

"It's fine!" I exclaimed. "Seems like a jerk anyways."

"He is. Oh! Avery these two remember their names now!" Denis said pointing at the two who came up before me.

"I'm Claire," The girl said with a smile.

"Thomas," The boy introduced himself.

"Hey Claire, Thomas, I'm Brielle!" I said returning the smile.

"Nice to meet you, Brielle," Thomas said.

"Sorry about the whole lift incident. We didn't know there was going to be someone else," Claire added.

"Don't worry about it. I don't think I would expect you to if I'm being honest," I responded with a soft chuckle.

"Just a few more people you need to meet," Avery said looking around for them.

"We'll come along," Denis said.

"Sure. I just need to find them," Avery said. Denis started to look around too.

There were three people standing by the box everyone came up in. I think someone new may be coming!

"By the box," I called out before running over to meet them by the lift. The other three were taken by surprise when I suddenly ran in between a red haired girl and blonde haired girl. The lift had gone back down. Not even a minute later the other four were right next to us, panting.

The grinding noise started up again and I watched as the lift started it's trip back to the top. I couldn't see because the sun was in my face, but It looks like a boy and girl. A duo has been sent up.

I thought back to the name wall and wondered who it would be.
