Anne POV
Anne peered from a few bushes before pointing in the distance. "There's my home!" She explains to Sasha. "You'll love my family. They'll love you too! Since you're like officially my best friend now. Humans stick together right?!"
Sasha looked uncomfortable but nodded. "Uh huh..." Anne lead Sasha towards her home as she pushed open the door, crouching slightly to get in.
"Family! I'm home!!" She announces. Immediately she could hear footsteps running towards her, louder and louder before her brother Sprig jumped down.
"ANNE!" He shouts as he jumped into her arms, Anne hugging him tightly. "I thought you died!"
"Haha, you can't get rid of me that easily. Sasha helped me." Anne motioned towards Sasha. Sasha awkwardly waved at them.
"Another human?" Sprig asks.
"Anne!" Anne turned her head to see HopPop and Polly at the stairs. "You're alive!" They both ran to her, giving her a hug. Anne hugged them both tightly.
"Hey guys!! Meet Sasha!"
"You found another human?" HopPop asks.
"Sick armor, where did you get it?" Polly asks.
"Oh my armor? It's nothing. Uh.. just bought it in one of the nearby towns."
"Yeah! She kind of travels. Can she please stay with us at least for a little bit?! Please, HopPop?!"
"Well... okay. If it will help you, Anne. Welcome Sasha! I hope you don't mind sleeping in the basement."
"Sounds like an improvement from where I've been living," Sasha says with a nervous laugh.
"Oh my frog okay! This will be awesome!" Anne exclaims, taking Sasha by the hand and leading her to the basement. "We can be roommates, you can have the bed too if you want, I can sleep on the floor."
"Mhm."
Anne started throwing blankets onto the her bed, keeping one for herself. "I hope these are enough!"
"Those are.. a lot."
"Oh, my bad!"
Sasha laughed a little. "You need to chill, Anne. I'll be okay."
"Right, I know that." Anne smiled at her. "I just think it's so cool to have someone like me around. I hope you love it here in WartWood!"
"I'm sure I'll like it," Sasha insists. She looked rather unsure, which set that little fire inside Anne off.
"Did you like the planters? They're so nice, right? I've been living with them since forever. Aside from making me do a bunch of farm work, HopPop is the kindest frog I know."
"Must be nice, huh?" Sasha asks. "I mean, like having a place to settle back on."
Anne smiles. "Well, this can hopefully be somewhere you'd like to stay in?"
Sasha gave her a hopeful look.
"Yeah.. maybe."
