THE CORE FOUR STOOD CENTRE STAGE in the middle of the courtyard as students filled up the masses in great numbers. The time in between 1st and 2nd period at Spencer's school was usually long, like, 10 minutes long to be exact. Which was the main reason why this exact moment, plus lunch ( when the food was actually edible) made the 6 hours she spent stuck there somewhat tolerable. Till the ear piercing screech of the 100 year old bell cried out throughout the halls and that 10 minute euphoric bliss period of freedom came to a close.
She didn't want to be here. Hell, who did on a Monday morning. But after the events that had occurred last night with Monica rocking up, plus the stressful tussle at her own home, practicing 30 pages of Snell's Law was something she wasn't 100% opposed to doing.
"So, he tells the chick to say hello to his little friend," Reed began to recall a special film he'd watched over the weekend. His tones fluctuating between unreasonably excited and animated. Which gave Spencer a clear indication of what genre the movie had been before he uttered his next sentence. " And then bam—a penis. Genius, right ?"
"That's so gross," Inez commented with a wrinkled nose, a strain of her tawny brown hair falling to the front of her face in course. They'd all collectively grown used to Reed's, well, Reed-ness. He had no filter for any topic, good or bad. You ask him what he'd done that day and he would most likely tell you every single little detail including the bits in between that in most circumstances, nobody really ever wanted to know. Whenever he'd interact with a conventally attractive person, and on the very rare occasion an older woman who was a little too touchy-feely for comfort, Reed wouldn't hesitate to share every dirty thought that raced throughout his ever evolving headspace right at that second. Or even to the said person's face.
