𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗜𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 Karma, nobody can see it coming. It has no menu, and when you get served a portion, sometimes sizeable, sometimes too much to contain, it can tear torrid chunks and spit you back out again like a sour emulsion on the tip of your tongue. It was venomous in the ways that it also could be generous too.
But what happened to Karen Jackson. That wasn't karma.
That was joint years of frustration broiling over into a canonically messy ending. Emphasis on messy.
The moment the news had circled its way round back to her in the early odd hours of the morning, every fibre in her went rigid. Static in a sense. She didn't want to assume who would've been at the helm of it all, but considering all the things she'd said, and the phone conversation prior to it as well, the gruelling list of potential perpetrators behind that wheel really only boiled down to one person. And in some decrepit way that only made sense in Spencer's convulsive mind, that was all down to her.
She'd been the who picked up the phone and diailed Mandy that night with the intention to find a solution. A way to defean the whirlwind of sour backbites and direness that didn't seem to cease even after her deliberate efforts to ignore the issue. The issue being Karen and her sudden swelling aggravation for her mere existence. Or whatever had motivated her to continuously call Spencer's number for 2 hours till she eventually picked up, and subsequently scorched her with a bunch of guttural statements about being a consolation prize to try and knock her down a million pegs.
