[ a/n —— there's depictions of 'hallucination' in this chapter w/ one of my plot device characters in this fic, called heaven, who died ages ago. just wanted to throw that out there so that when the scenes come, it won't be confusing. anyways, enjoy part two of two of the mess! ]

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗘 and Spencer found herself sat at the bar midday surrounded by two empty pint glasses and her chin buried beneath her palm in boredom. Most people went to the park when they had nothing better to do, or walked, visited a museum, visited a friend. Did activities and actually felt like they'd accomplished something in their day.

So far, the only thing that Spencer had felt like she'd accomplished was not letting her crosive desire to rot in bed for the rest of eternity get to her. This was as good as it got. The Alibi at half twelve in the afternoon, trying to nurse down the stale contents of pale ale beer whilst trying to drown out the sound of Tommy or Kurt or whoever's backwards takes about the economic decline of their sacred country happening in the background. A harmonious barrage of muted laughter occurring just along the sides of the pool table with a couple other men.

She'd called on all 3 of her friends and they'd all given a similar explanation for the reason why they couldn't hang out with her. June was busy helping with some big bachalerotte party at the salon as a favour to Tami, her new Kate Upton look alike drinking buddy co-worker and friend. Reed was starting his first hour of full time at the garage, and since that meant he was the designated grease monkey ( whatever that meant ) he had to put in twice the effort.

And as for Inez, well, she'd gone so hardcore on trying to sculpt herself into the perfect model student to potentially impress the colleges she was applying to, along with her mother, that the thought of even dropping her pens and Calculus books and trading them for a cheap shot was merely treacherous. She had made time to catch up with Mandy though, who was another arguably significant face in her life that Spencer hadn't talked to that much since summer past a once in a blue moon phone-call.
