𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝗛𝗔𝗗 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 riding her skateboard in circles around the neighbourhood for a good ten minutes till Fiona had initially called her to tell her the news. Her mind had been at bay for the most part, thinking about everything and nothing as usual. Trying her all mighty best to avoid going home over the probability that Coral was somewhere deep in the caverns of their living room  inebriated and spilling her guts out to Julie Rienbeck about how much of a shit show her life had turned into.

How her husband was a flake for feeling the country, how Spencer was now trying to flake too so she could run after a dream influenced highly by not wanting to fall to the lack-of an higher education expectoration of her predecessors. And how, through all that, through all the tundra of colossal bullshit, Coral managed to stay strong. For her family. For herself.

Scrap that. Even Spencer knew Coral wouldn't delve that deeply into all their druid adversaries with a woman who, judging by the way she'd reacted to getting her call, she wasn't the most fond of.

But instead, the only hungover and slightly intoxicated person Spencer came across after sitting alone in a pizzeria diner booth and hauling herself back home to wallow in her own self-loathsome was Lip at the curb-side of his own home.
