Digimon Tri: Fusion Evolution

Episode 4: Secrets of Fusion Evolution

"Tell us about Fusion Evolution." Izzy said. All of the humans, Kormon, Demi Veemon, Wanyamon, and Salamon were back in the real world. Lapis was resting on a couch in T.K.'s house.

"Well, it can make any two or more Digimon digivolve into one being. It works best with Digimon of the same level, but can still work with Digimon of different levels. However, it doesn't work on Digimon lower then Rookie level." Caitlin explained. Salamon was curled up in her lap.

"Do we need Fusion Loaders?" Tai asked.

Salamon nodded her tan head. "It only works if you have a Fusion Loader."

"It's a good thing we all have one." Sora said, looking at her red one.

"How did we get them? We were here the whole time." Ken suggested. He flipped his purple hair out of his face.

"It must have happened when Lapis and Caitlin opened up their Digieggs, just like how we all got new digivices when Davis opened his last year." Kari suggested. She looked longing at the tan puppy in Caitlin's lap. She wanted her own Salamon back.

"We need to find the other Digimon." Cody stated. He had grown a bit since the previous year.

"If they aren't dead already." Matt sent an accusing glare at Caitlin and her unconscious friend.

"They could be...." Mimi sniffled. She had moved back to Heighton View Terrace over the summer.

"Tomorrow, we better head to Digiworld and find them!" Davis stated determindly.

"I can't, I have band practice." Matt sighed.

"I have a chess tournament." Ken added.

"I've got computer club." Yolei stated with a frown.

"Plus, someone has to look after Lapis!" Caitlin cried.

"I'll stay behind with her." Sora offered.

"Then it's settled. Tomorrow, the rest of us will head to the Digital World to find our partners!" Tai cheered.

Tai, Davis, Caitlin, Izzy, Cody, Mimi, T.K., and Kari, and Joe found themselves in the Digital World the next day. Koromon, Salamon, and Demi Veemon were back to their Rookie forms.

"We can't split up unprotected, but we need to cover more ground." Joe suggested.

"We'll split into three groups." Caitlin offered.

"There are 9 of us, so there can be three people on each group, that includes the leaders." Tai calculated.

"I'll go with you," Kari told Tai. She stood by his side, looking determined.

Davis frowned. He wanted Kari on his team. He was quite jealous.

Cody joined up with Davis, as did T.K. Mimi and Izzy joined Caitlin. Joe joined Tai and Kari.

"Are we ready?" Izzy asked.

"I think so," T.K. stated, looking at the groups.

"Let's go!" Davis cheered. He led his group east. Caitlin led hers west, and Tai and his team went north.

Davis's group found themselves near a desert. The temperature was scorching and the sun beat down on them.

"Cody!" A tired voice shouted. Cody whipped his head around and spotted a yellow Digimon on four legs. It had a yellow shell on its back.

"Armadillomon!" Cody cried. The two ran at each other and met in a hug. Cody began to cry tears of joy at finally having been reunited with his partner.

"Is Patamon with you?!" T.K. asked worriedly. The little armadillo nodded his head, grinning.

"T.K.!" A light voice cheered. T.K. was tackled by an orange and tan hamster with tiny wings.

"Patamon!" T.K. cried joyously. He hugged his partner close to him, happy.

Suddenly, a giant purple mole shot up from the ground. It had a rather large grey drill where it's nose should be. It also had sharp claws on its tanned paws.

"That's Drimogimon!" Davis gasped. He and the others had encounters with the mole Digimon before.

"What are we going to do?!" Cody panicked.

"Run!" T.K. shouted. The three began running with their partners. Drimogimon followed them, flinging sand. He dug deep beneath the earth, only to pop up in front of the kids.

"We have to do something!" Veemon shouted.

"We have to fight!" Davis answered, clenching his fists. "Digivolve!"

Veemon tried to digivolve, but couldn't. There was nothing he could do. He didn't have enough strength.

"Drill Spin!" Drimogimon cried. It's drill spun and it charged, attacking T.K. and Cody.

"Cody!" Armadillomon cried.

"T.K.!" Patamon shouted.

The two suddenly felt a surge of power. T.K. and Cody's digivices glowed.

"Patamon digivolve to....."

"Armadillomon digivolve to....."

The two began to form together into one beast. When the light from the Digivolution disappeared, a green chameleon stood in its place. It had an army helmet on its head. It's entire green body was striped with red. "Chamelemon!"

"Go Chamelemon!" T.K. cheered it on.

Chamelemon faced Drimogemon. "Tongue Lashing!" It's long tongue outstretched. It slapped Drimogimon with its tongue, then wrapped it around him and threw him. The Digimon dug under the sand, too scared to continue fighting.

"You did it!" Cody cheered as the two Rookies went back to normal.

"Come on, we better find the others." Davis suggested.
