Episode 1: Digi-World War

Hey there, I'm Kari! Kari Kamiya! I'm related to Tai Kamiya, he's my brother. You see, we, and some friends, saved a place called the Digital World, twice!

Oh, you don't know what that is? The Digital World is a, well, digital place where these monsters, called Digimon, live in peace and harmony. My brother, friends, and myself are called Digidestined. That means we are destined to help the Digital World.

My partner is a cute cat Digimon named Gatomon. She's really powerful, she's a Champion level! She was once bad, but because of me, her heart warmed up! Not to brag, but we make a pretty great team!

It's been a year since we've seen our Digimon partners. My brother is now 17 years old, I'm 14. Apparently, there's an all out wat in the Digital World. There's an evil army going around. It's up to my brother and our friends to save the day!

But, who is the new girl at my school and what does she have to do with all of this?

And what's this new form of Digivolution?

Kari Kamiya sat at her desk in school, sitting next to her best friend, T.K. T.K. gave her a warm smile as he laid his eyes on her.

"How was summer break?" He asked jokingly, as if he didn't know. The two spent most of the summer together, lazing around at the beach.

"You know very well how it was." She said with a smile. She turned her attention to the front of the room as the final bell rang.

"Hello, class," The teacher, Mr. Fujiama, said in a cheery tone, "We have a new student this year!"

A short girl with bright blue hair stood in the front of the class. She had her hands clasped together behind her back. She had a happy expression on her pale face, but her blue eyes told a different story.

"Sorry I'm late, Mr. Fujiama! I was-" A kid with brown, spiky hair ran into the class room. He stopped and stared at the new girl. "Whoa, who is she?"

"She, Mr. Motomiya, is the new student. I was just introducing her. Take your seat, you're late." The teacher said.

The kid went and took his seat, not taking his eyes off the new girl. She was quite pretty. "She has cool hair." He commented.

"Shut up, Davis!" T.K. hissed quietly, not wanting his friend to get in trouble. Davis rolled his eyes and rested his head boredly in his hand.

"Now, please introduce yourself to the class." Mr. Fujiama said. He exteneded his arm and waved his hand out to the class.

A small blush covered the girl's cheeks, bringing some color to her face. Stuttering, she managed to get out, "I'm Lapis..."

"Very good," The teacher nodded. "Please go take a seat next to T.K., over there."

Lapis walked towards the empty desk and took a seat. She focused on her desk, fidgeting with her hands. She was shy, and wasn't good at meeting new people. She was nervous enough as it, was. School was cutting into her "job".

Davis growled quietly under his breath. He glared in T.K.'s direction, balling his fists up. How dare he! First Kari, now the new girl? Who the heck does he think he is?!

Meanwhile, in the Digital World, a war was going on. The evil Apocalymon was using his generals and their armies to take over different zones in the Digital World.

Agumon, an orange lizard-type Digimon, hid behind a tree. Veemon, a blue lizard-type Digimon, hid behind him.

"What do we do?!" Veemon hissed. "We can't Digivolve without Davis and the others!"

"We'll just have to hide it out for a bit. They'll come, they will.... They have to." Agumon said quietly. He frowned to himself, hiding his worried look from his friend. Oh, Tai, we need you!

A big blue wolf Digimon with red gloves growled, slashing out at an opposing Digimon. The Digimon turned into bits of data, which the wolf absorbed. He looked around for his next target, spoting Agumon and Veemon. He snarled, ready to attack.

"Gaogamon!" Someone shouted. The wolf snapped his head around to see a pretty girl with brown hair standing next to a black cat on two legs.

"Caitlin!" Gaogamon growled, running up to her. "What are you doing here? Where is Lapis?"

"She's at school. I did my work already!" Caitlin grinned triumphantly. "What's going on?"

"We're fighting for the Code Crown in this zone." Gaogamon explained to her. He snapped his head back to where he saw Agumon and Veemon, but they were gone.

"Is something wrong?" The cat, BlackGatomon, asked. She tilted her head to the side.

"No..." Gaogamon shook his head. He turned his attention back to the girl and her partner. "Let's move out."

Lapis glanced around, looking for the computer lab. Finding it, she looked to see if anyone was watching. She slipped inside and pulled out her blue Fusion Loader. She once again glanced around before logging onto one of the computers and pulling up the Digi Portal.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Someone shouted. Lapis's head snapped up. Davis, Kari, and T.K. were standing by the door. Davis had his arms crossed over his chest.

"Is that the Digital World Portal?" T.K. gasped, eyes blinking in shock.

"The what?" Lapis asked, faking stupidity. She immediately shut down the computer, hiding her Fusion Loader.

"Was that a Digivice?" Kari asked, trying to get a better look.

"A what device?" Lapis asked nervously. Normally, she'd be ready for any challenge. This time, she was without a partner and in the human world.

"It's so different from ours!" Davis said, pulling his much rounder device from his pocket.

"You're tamers?!" Lapis asked, eyes wide. Had she known that their would be Digidestined here, she wouldn't have come to this school.

The three kids looked at each other, then back to the blue haired girl in front of them. "Who are you?"

Lapis glared, lip curled in a snarl. She had to leave, now. The war was going on and she needed to help. She couldn't let her friends down. She couldn't let him down.

Lapis turned towards the computer, pointing her Fusion Loader towards it. A bright light shot from it and sucked her in. Her clothes changed to a completely black outfit. She dropped to her feet on the ground, looking around.

"Lapis!" A girl called. Lapis smiled, running towards the girl.

"Caitlin, how'd we do?" She asked, grinning.

"We got the zone under control." Caitlin smiled.

"Hey!" Someone shouted. The two turned to see Kari, Davis, and T.K.

"Oh crap!" Lapis hissed. "We better go, now!"

"What's going on, ma'am?" Gaogamon asked, snarling at the group advancing towards them.

"Tamers, but they might not be on our side. Let's go!" Lapis explained. She jumped on the wolf's back, Caitlin and BlackGatomon following. Gaogamon took off, running as fast as he could.

"Shoot! She got away!" T.K. hissed angrily.

"We need to find our partners, quick!" Davis said. "Veemon!"

Kari frowned, fists clenched. That one Digimon looked a lot like Gatomon. Who are they? She thought. If anyone was threatening the Digital World, she, and her friends, would stop them.
