Episode 19: Oncoming Storm

Fever dreams attacked Lapis out of no where. She had been sick, every since coming back from the Digital World on Easter. It been weeks since, and she wasn't getting better, yet she wasn't getting worse.

While everyone went to the Digital World without her, she stayed home. No one was there to take care of her, other than her mom when she didn't work, and occasionally one of her friends would stop by to tell them about their adventures.

So far, Tai, Matt, Davis, and Ken managed to get their partners to their ultimate levels, with Veemon and Wormmon DNA digivolving to do so.

In this particular dream of the blue haired girl's, an angelic creature appeared. He had roughly eight wings on his back and purple markings on his body. He wore sandals and a white gown. He was divine and beautiful in every way.

"I can help you..." He whispered in a sultry whisper. "I can help you save your friend."

A sinister laugh erupted and a large shape, similar to the angel, formed behind him. Tendrils of shadow moved from the silhouette towards Lapis, wrapping her in darkness.

Lapis jolted with a start. Staring at her was Wanyamon, yellow eyes wide in surprise.

"What was this one about?" He asked softly.

"I... I don't know." She shook her head to clear away her thoughts. She's always had weird dreams, and this wasn't even the worst. Though, she couldn't shake the image of that beautiful angel from her mind. Who or what was he?

"Alright, MagnaAngemon!" T.K. grinned. His partner stood next to Angewomon, Aquilamon, and Ankylomon. The four had just beaten some rouge Digimon from Devinon's side, resulting in the two angel Digimon to digivolve.

"Wait, something's coming." Kari said as she looked to the north of them.

"From the south, too." Cody said as he strained his ears to listen to the sounds of footsteps.

Suddenly, two tall Digimon with metal masks, torn red wings, and elbow blades burst from the north and south, nearly trapping the kids.

"We have to go!" Yolei cried.

"Desolation claw!" The Digimon yelled. Waves burst from all four arms and roared towards the group. The entire group ducked in time to see the waves destroy each other.

"Let's get out of here!" Ankylomon said as he plucked Cody up and placed him onto his shoulder.

"We should fight!" MagnaAngemon said in his deep voice. "These are Cyberdramon. They're Ultimate levels."

The Cyberdramon clashed with MagnaAngemon and Angewomon. The two angels struggled to stop them, ultimately getting beaten down to Patamon and Gatomon.

"We can still leave!" Cody yelled.

"No, I've got this." Patamon struggled to get up. "Patamon digivolve to..." Finding the strength, Patamon transformed into Angemon.

"How do you have enough strength to go on?" One of the Cyberdramon asked. "That's impressive."

"Look out!" Kari yelled to Yolei. The other girl looked up to see one of the Cyberdramon's hands rushing towards her.

Aquilamon took the hit, groaning in intense pain. "W-We have to.. digivolve further..." He grunted.

"Gatomon DNA digivolve to..."

"Aquilamon digivolve to..."

In the place of the two, a tall, beautiful Digimon stood with white and red feathers and goggles on her face. "Silphymon!"

"You did it!" Yolei gasped. She was happy to see the Ultimate Digimon again.

"Ready, guys?" T.K. asked. Cody, Ankylomon, and Angemon all nodded.

"Angemon DNA digivolve to..."

"Ankylomon digivolve to..."

Instead of the angel and the dinosaur, a large metal mutant with wings and gold running along its body in designs stood tall. "Shakkoumon!"

"Top gun!" Extending it arms, Silphymon fired balls of energy at one of the Cyberdramons.

"Justice Beam!" Cried Shakkoumon. It let lose raging hot laser beams from its eyes, sending the other Cyberdramon crashing into a nearby tree.

"One more time!" Yolei yelled in determination.

"You can do it, Shakkoumon!" Cody encouraged.

"Kachina Bombs!" Clay disks left the waist of Shakkoumon, slicing a Cyberdramon and blasting him into bits of data.

"Static Force!" Silphymon yelled. It jumped from the air down into the lonely Cyberdramon, using super speed to send a shockwave into it. It burst into data, gone.

"We did it!" Yolei grinned as Hawkmoon and Gatomon returned.

"And we got our Ultimate levels back." Cody smiled in exhaustion as he kneeled down next to Armadillomon.

"Our team just keeps getting stronger and stronger!" T.K. smiled. Kari grinned at him. She was happy them at their team was getting stronger with each passing day. If they kept it up, everyone would be at their Mega levels and be able to win the war.

NeoDevimon stood tall, grinning as he absorbed some data from destroyed Digimon. "Even though we keep losing our troops, their data fills me to the core with power. Soon, I'll be able to be Mega and destroy those pesky kids!"

A large green dragon with red-clawed large hands on its back and a mace for a tail stood tall. A snarl left its lips as it looked to its partner.

"We've reached Ultimate." Jesse said. "Let's continue our training, Groundramon."
