Episode 10: A Double Evolution

Caitlin took Yolei, Cody, Izzy, and Sora out to the Digital World after hearing of Matt and T.K.'s Digivolution. More than ever, with Devimon's army growing stronger, they needed to grow their own. Getting the rest of the Digimon to Champion level was greatly need. And when two Champions fused, they became Ultimate.

"So, what's the plan?" Yolei asked, fixing her orange helmet on her head. Hawkman sat next to her, preening his feathers.

"We need to train up, to Digivolve to Champion." Izzy told her.

"Do we just find some opposing Digimon or wait for Devimon to send his soldiers?" Cody asked. Armadillomon nodded in agreement, wondering the same thing.

A boy grinned evilly from behind a tree. "You won't have long to wait, Digidestined. Ready, Coredramon?"

A large green dragon with sharp claws, wings, and a red horn on its nose let out a low growl, ready to battle.

Coredramon burst from the woods near the kids. The kids, startled, looked up.

"What is that?!" Sora gasped.

"That's Coredramon!" Biyomon squawked, standing protectively in front of her Tamer.

"Green Flare Breath!" Coredramon shouted. A blaze of green fire formed in its mouth and blasted towards the kids.

Hawkmon and Biyomon stood in front of their Tamers, ready to protect them. The blast was heading straight for them when-

"Our Digivices!" Sora gasped, looking at her red Fusion Loader.

"They're glowing!" Yolei looked at her similar Fusion Loader, the shade of red more Maroon than anything. "The Crests of Love are showing on them!"

"Biyomon digivolve to....." In the place of the tiny pink bird stood a tall, orange Phoenix. With large wings made of fire and a jaw with several sharp teeth, the Digimon cawed, "Birdramon!"

"Hawkmon digivolve to....." In Hawkmon's place was now a large red and white eagle with long, curved horns. "Aquilamon!"

"Two birds against a Dragon? I'll eat you for lunch, feathers and all!" Coredramon laughed deeply.

"Meteor Wing!" Birdramon called. She flapped her wings, sending a blaze of heat at Coredramon. Coredramon tightened his arms around himself and took the blow, unfazed.

"Blast Rings!" Aquilamon roared. Pink circular rings were shot off from its horns, hitting the still self protected dragon Digimon.

"Let's get this over with, Digivolve!" Coredramon shouted to himself. He formed into a large green Dragon a large red horn, green hands tipped with red claws sprouting from its back, and a spiked iron ball on the tip of its tail. "Groundramon!"

"It's an Ultimate level!" Izzy gasped.

Cody squinted his eyes towards the woods. He could have sworn he saw a light shine from the woods when Coredramon digivolved.

"Megaton Hammer Crush!" Croundramon shouted. It slashed it's tail at the group, sending them flying. It went to do it again,but the Crests of Knowledge glowed bright against Cody and Izzy's yellow Fusion Loaders.

"Armadillomon digivolve to...." In its place was a larger creature, this one more of a ankylosaurus then an armadillo. It was yellow with grey spikes up and down its back, and a smaller spiked ball on its tail, much like Groundramon's. "Ankylomon!"

"Tentomon digivolve to...." The red ladybug Digimon digivolved into a giant blue bug with a grey horned helmet on its head and vast white wings. It also had four arms. "Kabuterimon!"

"Let's give it all we've got!" Izzy shouted.

"Form a massive attack, fueled by knowledge and love!" Cody added.

"Together, we can do this!" Yolei cried.

"Now!" Sora yelled.

"Meteor Wing!"

"Blast Rings!"

"Electro Shocker!"

Ankylomon jumped up, ready to form with the moves. "Megaton Press!" The attacks formed around his body and he fell on top of Groundramon, severely injuring him.

Groundramon barely managed to get up. "I-I'll get you, Digidestined, be warned..." He grumbled. He turned and seemed to disappear into thin air.

"Where did he go?" Sora wondered, looking around.

"Who knows?" Izzy shrugged.

"Good riddance." Yolei sighed a breath of relief.

Cody looked towards the woods again. The same light from before appeared, only slightly dimmer. Could it be a Fusion Loader? Could Coredramon be partnered with someone?

"We better get back to real world. It's getting late and we need to let the others know. Wait, where is Caitlin?" Izzy said, looking around. Since they had gotten to the Digital World, Caitlin was no where to be found. She was missing.

"BlackGatomon is gone, too." Sora muttered. "Where are they?"

Devimon grinned as he held both Caitlin and BlackGatomon in his clutches. They were both unconscious, but that didn't matter right now. What mattered to him was the fact that he had them, and none of the other brats would be able to find them ever again.
