Episode 13: Blue Rescue

The fake Caitlin and BlackGatomon were hit by the flames, flying backwards. Everyone gasped, shocked that a FlaWizarmon would attack like that.

"Why did you do that?!" Yolei asked, on the verge of tears.

"That's not the real Caitlin." Michaela said, crossing her arms over her chest. She didn't like that they were accusing her of actually hurting a living human being.

"It's not the real BlackGatomon, either." FlaWizarmon added. He glanced at Gatomon, seeing her horrified expression.

"I believe them." Izzy said. "If you look closely, the color of their eyes isn't exactly the same. They're more dull than Caitlin and BlackGatomon would ever allow."

"Izzy's right." T.K. said, peering at the clones. "So if these two are clones, where are the originals?"

Lapis looked at Gaomon, holding up her Fusion Loader. "Ready, Gaomon?"

"Ready for what, ma'am?" He asked, confused. There was no reason to fight, FlaWizarmon had it all under control.

"Digivolve!" She called. Her Fusion Loader glowed bright and Gaomon was digivolving.

"Gaomon digivolve to.... Gaogamon!" The giant blue wolf stood on all four legs, ready for action.

"Just what do you plan to do?" Tai asked, watching her with careful eyes.

"I'm going to go to find Caitlin and BlackGatomon." Lapis said. She jumped onto her partner's back and he took off.

"Wait!" Michaela shouted. "Sorcermon has got it under control!" It was too late. Lapis and Gaogamon were already away from hearing distance.

Meanwhile, Sorcermon was carrying Caitlin around. He tried using his magic to call on Wizardmon, but to no avail.

"I'm afraid we are lost." Sorcermon said with a heavy sigh. He frowned when he saw BlackGatomon's ears droop.

"Well, we're going to have to do something to get back to the others." She said in a soft voice. Her black and purple ears perked up as she got an idea. She quickly climbed the tallest tree she could find and scanned it. She saw a flash of blue and red and that was it.

"I saw something..." BlackGatomon said.

Sorcermon focused his magic, identifying the silhouette of Gaogamon and Lapis.

"It's a girl and a Gaogamon." He reported.

"That's Lapis!" BlackGatomon grinned. "Let's go after them!"

"Are you sure, BlackGatomon?" Sorcermon asked. He sighed softly ad he noticed the black and purple cat-like creature already running after Gaogamon. Sorcermon followed suit, using his magic to help him glide faster.

Brown eyes peered out from a bush, ready to ambush Gaogamon and Libby. "Ready, Coredramon?" A voice asked.

"Ready!" A deeper voice growled. Coredramon emerged from the trees behind the bush, an evil gleam in his eyes. "Green Flare Breath!"

Green flames shot out of his mouth at Gaogamon, sending him and Lapis flying. Lapis landed on the ground, having fallen off of her partner. Gaogamon landed roughly on his side, cutting open his side. Data leaked out.

"Gaogamon!" Lapis cried, crawling over to her partner. She had wounded her leg, but it would heal. She had no clue if Gaogamon's gash would heal.

"Lightning Paw!" Someone called out. It was BlackGatomon. Her black paw hit Coredramon in the face.

Sorcermon fell next to Gaogamon. "This looks bad." He muttered.

"Can he be healed?" Lapis sobbed. She buried her face in the furry scruff of her partner's neck. Her crystal tears began to wet the light blue fur.

"I believe so. It's bad but it's repairable." Sorcermon replied. "It'll take a lot of time and ingredients to do so, however."

"What can I help you with?" Lapis asked.

"BlackGatomon can't fight alone. I can't move Caitlin AND Gaogamon by myself. But, we need to get away from Coredramon." Sorcermon said. Lapis gasped, blue eyes widening. She focused on the brown haired girl laying on the ground next to Sorcermon.

"I can put Gaogamon in my Fusion Loader." She said. She pulled the blue and black object from her belt.

"Good, let's hurry." Sorcermon nodded. He lifted his staff, making Caitlin float up. "BlackGatomon, let's go!"

As Lapis returned her partner to her Fusion Loader, BlackGatomon rushed over. She had been fighting the giant green Dragon. "Where are we going?"

"We need to get somewhere safe." Sorcermon said. "Gaogamon needs my help!"

"Let's do it!" BlackGatomon nodded, hoping up on Lapis's shoulder. Lapis smiled slightly, but then began to frown as they rushed forward to get away from Coredramon. They had to get away before Gaogaomon's condition worsened. Losing him would be too painful for her.
