Aloïsia's POV

I didn't really think about what gender I'd prefer my roommate to be, I had just assumed it would be a girl. Now that I think of it, I forgot to mention my gender in the caption -_- smh

Not saying that I'm upset about it or anything, it was just a bit unexpected. From the moment I opened that door...

An hour earlier

Someone rang the bell, it could be someone looking for an apartment- I thought. I open the door with a slight excitement, only to get disappointed. "Hello uncle Jonas," I greet my landlord with an attempted smile, which I'm not so good at. "good evening," he said, with his annoying cranky accent. "What brings you here today?" I ask , trying to be polite :) and there he goes "You pay rent on time okay? I give week extra this month. okay?"

"Yes, of course." I don't wanna waste my time explaining how he needs to be more considerate. He's too old and I don't wanna be disrespectful. With that, he took his leave. Thank god.  So I turned around to get back on my bed and the landlord knocked again :)

"What in the razzle dazzle does he want now?!" I asked myself as I was about to open the door hastily but calmed myself within a second to open it nicely, because yeah don't wanna be rude.  Held on to the handle and

Our eyes met, his right hand holding on to the strap of the bag behind him. He switched his eyes behind me to take a look at the living room, "May I help you?"

He extended his arm to show me his phone screen which had a number dialed on it, "Is this yours?" Which made me really nervous for some reason. "Yeah how did you get that?" I questioned the dude who was starting to scare me :)
"You posted an ad for sharing a flat? I've been trying to call but none's picking up." And oh boy did it hit me, I completely forgot. I welcomed him inside and there wasn't much to 'tour' since there were only three rooms to show. The living room, kitchen and the second bedroom. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

He gave me a paper with all his information written on it nicely. He even showed me his ID without me having to ask for it. "I'm okay with sharing the flat with you only if you agree to respect privacy and also pay the rent on time."
"You won't have to worry about that."
"Nice to meet you then, Alvin."
