Chapter 17

"They ask what is loyalty? I replied we are humans. Ask a dog. It knows better."

Before I can completely vanish from the Royal Family. I make the quickest stop at the castle. I stop by all four of my mates' rooms. I place something on their beds with my scent on it. It'll give their wolves somewhat of a peaceful mind.

Just a sliver....

I dropped my dress I wore the first time here. When I first met Dimitri on his bed. I go into his closet and grab an article of clothing. I head to Orion's room and left my favorite sweater. I too took his favorite sweater in exchange for mine. I go to Hendrix room and place on his bed my favorite dress. I take his small blanket he uses when he reads at night. Paxton has my favorite hoodie that he gotten me on his bed. And in return I snatched his hoodie. I hurry to the children's rooms. I give Shiloh my drawing pad, Tyson has my controller, Roe has my Joker action figure I use when we play robbers, and Dovelin has my charm bracelet I told her she could have one day. I rush down the stairs cramming everyone's belongings I stole into my duffle bag and placed individual letters on the table.

Dimitri,
The once cold-hearted man who haunted my nights. I am sorry I took off, but I promise I will return. I need to keep everyone safe so please forgive me. Stay strong and don't go astray. I love you with every fiber of my being.

Aphrodite, Thanos, and the children,

Thank you for treating me like family. And loving me as your own. I am truly grateful for you. Tell the children I love them to death. I am doing this to keep everyone safe. If I shall die please don't let my mates do anything to end their lives; they'll find a replacement if I go. But know I fought to my very last breath. Make sure to give the kids a kiss every night at bedtime and read the girls their stories. I have a mother to hunt down.

I place my duffle bag into the backseat of my car and take off as fast as my car would go. I need to get some distance away from this castle and me.

It has been a week since I have disappeared from everyone. I am hundreds of miles away from the castle hiding in Silver Rock Coven. It is where my bloodline of witches comes from. It was the best place to find answers that could lead me to my mother....

My heart aches for my mates. My bed side table has a picture Aphrodite had captured all too well of the guys and me. It was surprisingly a day Dimitri didn't have a stick up his ass. He has a smirk plastered on his face. Hendrix and I was having a full-on laughter fit. Paxton had spit water out and hit Orion in the face. She captured Paxton's water leaving his mouth perfectly. It was one of our better days. Next to it was a picture of the four children and I doing our funky chicken dance to Beautiful Soul. The last picture was of Aphrodite and Thanos. I had taken this picture because Thanos and Aphrodite were looking at each other with so much love in their eyes. I had to capture the moment. In reality I wanted that moment with my mates. I have Paxton's hoodie on as I snuggle up to Hendrix's blanket. The other two articles of clothing are lying beside me. Their ocean scent fills my room. It calms my mind and eases my heart ache. I learn of why Kali has turn to a dark witch. Thanos' brother, the former king, and my mates' father killed Kali's beloved before her eyes. Her beloved tried to kill Dimitri, but the former king killed him with a spell and sent his body up in flames. My point of view on it in my honest opinion; I would have killed that evil man too for trying to kill Dimitri. We still haven't located Kali and being away from my mates for so long is starting to take a toll on me. They have been training me with my magic and spells. I have training again tomorrow morning so, I need to be asleep... My mind wanders to what my tribrids are doing, especially my stupid tribrid mate. Before long, I'm out like a blown light.
