Trigger Warning
"A-ano?" Naguguluhan kong tanong sa kanya.
"She was diagnosed with IED a year ago. She's currently under the care of a mental institution here in Manila that focuses on people who was suffering to that disorder," he explained.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Bianca... her friend confessed to me through call about what Elizabeth had told her for what she did on you and Tita Monica. Hindi raw kaya nang konsensya niya kaya nagsalita siya. I was in London that time so I immediately booked a flight and to go back here in Manila. I asked Atty. Chavez for help to re-open the case....." huminga siya muna ng malalim bago nagsalita ulit. "They investigated and eventually filed a warrant of arrest against her and the suspect whom she paid to do the crime but during the proceedings, she showed some signs of unwanted behavior."
Parang sasabog ang utak ko sa dami ng impormasyon na nalaman ko ngayon. Marami pala talagang nangyari dito na hindi ko alam.
"B-bakit hindi mo sinabi sa'kin 'to nung nagkita tayo?"
"I didn't want to shock you and make you confuse. I wanted to take it slow, Cassandra. I told myself that I will explain everything to you once we're.....okay," halos hindi ko na marinig ang sinabi niya dahil biglang siyang humina.
"And how could I tell you about this if.... I didn't know where....are you?"
I pursed my lips and covered my face because of frustrations. Lahat ng sakit,pagluluksa, at mga masasakit na ala-ala mula sa nakaraan ay bumalik sa akin. Yung mga gabing iyak lang ako nang iyak dahil hindi ko alam kung ano ang gagawin. Kung paano tutulungan si mommy sa problema ng kompanya namin hanggang sa naaksidente siya at namatay. Nakipaghiwalay ako kay Nicholai at nabuntis, lahat nang iyon.... parang sunod-sunod na dumaan sa utak ko at bigla kong naalala.
Naramdaman kong tumayo si Nico sa kabilang dulo ng kama at lumapit sa akin. Tumabi siya at sinubukang alisin ang dalawang kamay ko na nakatabon sa mukha ko.
"Cassandra...I'm sorry if I didn't tell you but I promise that I will do everything to help you with the case," he softly said and cupped my face.
A tear left my eye. "Why are doing this, Nico? Naghiwalay na tayo... bakit ka bumalik para asikasuhin ang kaso?"
He gently wiped the tear and caressed my face. Sa sandaling iyon, hindi na pagsisisi at sakit ang nakikita ko sa mga mata niya, kung hindi pagmamahal at pananabik na.
"Was my love for you enough for me to do that?"
"Thank you, Nico...." I said while sobbing. "Thank you so much," sabi ko.
Hindi niya binitawan ang kamay ko at hinawakan lang niya iyon. "Anything for you, Cassie"
I looked and stared at him for a second. "Gusto ko siyang makita."
He waited for me to continue.
"Si Elizabeth, gusto ko siyang makausap," sabi ko.
He nodded and held my hands tighter. "We will do that. I'll come with you," saad niya.

Totoo nga ang sinabi niya dahil maaga pa siyang pumunta kinabukasan sa condo ni Jaena upang sunduin ako at kamustahin si Blaire. Nagdala rin siya ng pagkain na niluto niya raw so we ate our breakfast together. Si Jaena na muna ang magbabantay sa anak namin.
"Are you sure you want to talk to her? Hindi siya maayos na kausap, Cassandra. I already visited her once," sabi ni Nicholai habang nasa byahe kami papunta sa hospital na pinaglagyan kay Elizabeth.
