Chapter 44: Patience

Emily's POV

The week could not have gone by more slowly. Between not being able to act like a couple in school, Ali's busy teaching schedule and us living apart, I'd barely been able to spend time with my beautiful girlfriend. All we'd had were brief, sneaky make-outs in my office after work hours before she had to rush off to mark the essays she had assigned her students over the holiday.

It was now Friday afternoon and class had just been dismissed. I made my way to her class room, a big smile spread across my face, happy that I was finally going to be able to spend time with my girl. As I approached, I noticed a student and her were talking so I leaned against a locker waiting, scrolling patiently through my phone.

"Miss Fields, what can I do for you?" her voice broke through my boredom. I gave her a cheeky smile noticing the glint in her eyes as her student excused himself and wished us a nice a weekend

"Just wanted to see you if you'd like to grab a friendly drink" I answered wiggling my eyebrows jokingly

She peeked her head out of the doorway where she stood, looking along the empty corridor before she pulled me into her classroom and smashed our lips together. My hands immediately found their place on her waist as she cupped my face.

I groaned as she pulled away "Hi" she chuckled breathless

"Hi baby" I pecked her lips, leaning our foreheads against each other "How was your day, beautiful?" I asked as she packed up her things

"It wasn't too bad, surprisingly - the kids were oddly engaged for a Friday" she commented "What about you?"

"It was good actually other than the fact that I've been missing you like crazy this whole week" I pouted as she faced me

She let out a slight chuckle before holding my arm and kissing my cheek softly "I've missed you too, baby" she smiled. We walked out of her classroom "I'm so sorry I've been so busy this week, I just like giving my students their work back by the end of the week so I needed to get everything done but" she smirked as we walked out of the school "I promise I'll make it up to you" we reached her car and she turned to face me, scrunching up my jumper in her fist to pull me close "and I am very much looking forward to kicking off this weekend properly with you" she bit her bottom lip and leaned against her car door pulling me in for a kiss by my jumper. I put my hands either side of her as she pulls me impossibly closer, her other hand sneaking underneath my layers and burning up my sides with just a touch. She ran her tongue on my lip and I immediately reacted, my tongue battling hers. Fuck, this is so hot... I pushed her up against her car, things heating up more and more as the kiss filled with passion

"Emily! Alison!" Ella called out to us making us jump apart

"Sorry, Ella..." I chuckled as Ali blushed profusely, hiding her face in the crook of my neck in embarrassment

"Are you though?" she raised her eyebrows before getting into her car. Ali and I awkwardly waved her off as she drove out the parking lot before meeting each other's eyes and bursting out laughing

"Sooo, shall we?" she asked with a wink, licking her lips seductively

"Babe, I have my bike and I need to grab my stuff for this weekend - but I'll be there as soon as I'm ready, ok?"

"Ok..." she frowned before a mischievous look crossed her face "Just don't take too long" she murmured sultrily "I would hate to have to get started without you" she whispered in my ear before kissing the corner of my lips, quickly getting into her car before I have the time to process

"Ali..." I warned "You better not"

"Or what?" she challenged as she started her car

"Do you really want to find out?" I said authoritatively
