Chapter 26: About Time

Spencer's POV

"Han! Wake up!" I shake the blonde awake

"Get off me Mum - I'm not going to school today..." she grumbles half-awake

"Han!" I whip her duvet off her and that seems to do the trick

"WHAT THE FUCK SPENCER!" she yells sitting straight up "HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT THIS PREGNANT QUEENS SLEEP"

"WHAT THE FUCK! GET OFF MY WIFE" Caleb yells jumping out of bed grabbing his bedside lamp "Oh... Spencer... What the fuck dude... Why would you do this" he yawns before crawling back into bed

"Sorry sorry - wrong move but you have to come see this, Han!" I drag her out to the corridor where Aria is waiting

"What's happening Spence?" Hanna complains "Why'd you wake us up during our holidays?"

"I was going to see Em" I start heading towards her bedroom door "and when I opened it a little to see if she was up..." I push her door open

"Oh my gosh..." Aria walks in and looks at our two best friends fast asleep in the same bed, cuddling

"OH MY FUCKING GOD! YES! MUM AND MUM ARE BACK TOGETHER! WOO HOO!" Hanna screams

"AHHH WHAT THE FUCK" Emily suddenly jumps up awake

"Who the fucking hell is yelling so much" Ali groggily says rubbing her eyes "Oh shit" were the first words out of her mouth when she realised what was happening "Umm hey?"

"HEY?" Aria blurts out "Is that all you have to say?" we stare at them wide-eyed expecting an answer

"Wait so are you two... wow... it's about time" Han smirks

"Nothing happened Han..." Em replies rubbing her eyes and leaning against the headboard

"Tsk yeah right" Aria retorted

"Nothing happened. Alison came in to hangout and we fell asleep that's all"

I raise my eyebrows at her "Em? Come on, really? You want us to believe that?"

"Yes Spencer" she retorts

"Guys, it's true. I came into Em's room last night to hang out - things have been going a lot better between us recently and I just wanted to chill one-on-one"

"So you guys haven't made out?" Hanna questions suspiciously

They both suddenly look away and Em awkwardly scratches the back of my neck

"Ha! You so did" Aria laughs

"It was a gentle peck, there was no making out last night" Em admits

"Last night implies there has been making out previously though..." I point out

"Um well obviously Em was referring to my bachelorette" Alison attempts

"Uh huh sure..." I sass

''Fine! We've kissed before!" Ali huffs

''ALI!" Em protests

"Well they clearly weren't going to drop it. But yes if you must know Em and I kissed last week and it was great! Happy?!" she explodes

"It was great??" Em mumbles staring at Ali wide-eyed. Alison doesn't answer and just stares back at her. For a few seconds, the room is silent. No one knows what to say or even if we should say anything. I have a feeling these girls have a lot to unpack and us being here may not be helping the situation

"Ok so whatever - what does this mean? Are you guys back together? Do we finally get to see you have your happy ending together???" Hanna asks

I look over at both girls still sitting in the bed next to one another, their hands on their respective laps. Neither of them say anything. Emily runs a hand through her hair and lets out a deep sigh. Ali looks back down at her twiddling thumbs on her lap and gulps slightly.
