Emily's POV
I went straight home after the appointment, having nowhere else to go. After my father died, Mum sold the house in Texas and moved back to Rosewood. It was a smaller house than the one I'd grown up in but it makes sense since she lives here alone apart for my occasional visits. It was about 60 square metres and on two floors. The bottom floor had a living room which had a dining table on the far side of it, the kitchen was at the back of the house and fairly narrow. The second floor was made of 2 ensuite bedrooms and a few cupboards. It was small but it was comfortable and it was home. Mum works at the Radleys with Hanna's mum as assistant manager, so she earns quite a bit but she always says she doesn't need a bigger house now and she wants to keep her money for a special day. I knew what it meant. My mum doesn't know about my new way of life, she's even convinced that Quinn and I are dating again even though I keep denying it. Just cause a bi and a lesbian are living under the same roof it doesn't mean that they're together, Mum! But yeah, she's supposedly saving the money for when I get married. I don't have the heart to tell her that, now more that even, it's never going to happen.
I walk out to the back garden from the kitchen door and get my phone out my pocket as I sit on the steps of the terrace. I click on contacts and favourites before calling the person that knows almost everything about me.
It rings a few times before she picks up
QF: Hello?
EF: Hey Quinn...
QF: Em! What's up? You getting Rosewood ready for my arrival?
EF: Haha! Yeah! I'm making sure they're planning enough Piña Coladas for you
QF: That was one time! One time!
EF: Yeah but you still ended up making out with that guy and puking on him seconds later!
I laugh a little as I remember that night. Being the good friend I am, I had to ditch the girl I was gonna hook up with to take care of Quinn.
QF: Whatever... Anyways why are you calling?
EF: Um right... so... the thing is right... Well it's not really a thing... I mean I guess it is. But well like what happened is... well, basically
QF: Just spit out, Fields!
I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I scratch the back of my neck nervously
EF: So, um, I may or may not have made out with the bride-to-be
QF: YOU DID WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!?!?!
EF: I kissed Alison
QF: I heard you the first time! Why? What happened? How? When? Where?
EF: I was angry at the girls because they started asking me about the wedding ironically enough. So I left and decided to take a walk-
QF: And you ended up at the Kissing Rock and she was there, right?
I told Quinn every single detail of Alison and I's dysfunctionally beautiful relationship, so it's only logical that she knows about the place I hold most dearly to my heart.
EF: Yeah...
I let out a loud sigh, just so done already with this whole wedding. Just wanting it to be over, so I can go back to LA and sleep with a different girl every night.
EF: It kinda just happened. And my head is all over the place right now!
QF: It never just happens Em... Tell me everything
