Chapter 27: Truth or Dare

Hanna's POV

"I can't believe it took this long for those two idiots" I state nodding to Em and Ali in the lake

It was the before last day in the lake house and we were gathered around the lake, Cece and I were on the loungers watching the two idiots who'd decided to go for a swim in mid-October.

" I know. I thought Americano would have gotten her act together a lot sooner. I mean I thought the wedding invitation would have been enough to get her off her arse"

I chuckle a little "Agreed. I hope it wasn't too late though"

"What do you mean Blondie?"

" I mean what if too much damage has already been done? What if Ali's over it and this is just a fling because it reminds her of when she was a teenager and had the world at her feet? What if Em is doing this for old times sake?"

"You think too much. I mean look at them" I face the lake to see Em carrying Ali on her back trying to swim, both of them laughing their heads off. Em suddenly throws Ali off her back into the water. She resurfaces with a big pout and Em swims towards her and starts laughing and apologising. Ali turns her head away and Em takes it as an opportunity to gently kiss her cheek. " There's no way that's not real. If it weren't neither of them would have given up their old lives for it."

" I suppose you're right"

"Right about what?" Noel suddenly says appearing from behind with Caleb

"How was your run hubby?" I ask kissing Caleb's sweaty cheek

"It was ok - Noel has got a lot more stamina than me though."

"I was a college athlete and you were a college hacker, makes sense" Noel mocks as Caleb punches him in the arm "Any ways what's my girl right about this time?"

"Em and Ali being made for each other. They were meant to find their way back to each other"

"Agreed. Let's just hope Em doesn't fuck it up this time" Noel concurs

"Give the girl a break. She was 17, drunk, horny and sad. Now she's 23 with a job and has had her fun. Plus, it should be easier now that they live in the same town again." Caleb defends Em

"Let's hope so" I look at the two girls in the lake, laughing, care-free. I hope it works. "Anyone curious about what the fuck is up with those two?" I ask as my eyes land on the two brunettes at the end of the pontoon reading

"No clue"

"They were acting weird at the wedding too" Cece points out "At bachelorette, Aria left with a guy and Spencer followed them outside, neither of them came back after. I wonder what happened..."

"Oh my god! Do you think they had a threesome together?!" I shriek

"Holy shiiiit" Noel gasps

"Could actually be, you know" Cece concurs "There's only one way to find out for sure" she smirks

Alison's POV

"I can't believe the holiday is already over..." Hanna pouts as we sit around the campfire on our last night

"Yeah, it's a shame..." I agree

"I'm really glad we did - it was a really good idea Ali" Spencer smiles

"I say we have some fun on our last night rather than wallowing in pity!" Cece protests

"Sounds good to me - what'd you have in mind babe?" Noel asks
