Olivia Baker

"I need you to breathe, Spencer" Olivia said as she sat on the edge of her bed. "Now...what did you say happened?" she asked as she rubbed on her belly.

"Destiny Wright, whoever the fuck she is, wants primary custody of Angel! I ain't never seen this woman a day in my life!" Spencer explained, pacing back and forth. "I don't understand this shit, Liv!" he continued.

"Spencer I need you to relax, please! You're going to stress me out!" Olivia said as she felt her hands get shaky. "Are you sure you don't know this Destiny Wright person?" she inquired as she attempt to ease her nerves.

"I'm sorry, baby, I'm just scared. Give me a moment" Spencer placed her on hold to take a few deep breathes. "You still there?" he inquired after getting back on the call.

"I'm here" Olivia laid on her side. "You alright?" she asked, worried about him.

"I'm one hundred percent sure I don't know a Destiny Wright" Spencer ignored her question. "I don't understand why this is all happening. I love Angel...she's in great care with me...and anybody knows I'd do anything for her. She's my baby girl..." he paused as he felt a lump in his throat.

"I know babe" Olivia said in a sad tone.

"Look...I gotta get back inside with Khalil and Sean. I'm hoping my time with them will clear my mind from this shit" Spencer shook his head in frustration. "I'll holla at you later" he said, hanging up the phone.

Olivia heaved a big sigh before tossing her phone away from her. She wasn't expecting Spencer to deliver that news to her. She was just as confused as he was, she didn't understand why someone would try to gain full custody of his daughter.

Olivia then stared at her shoes from across her room, contemplating on whether she should go see Spencer or stay at home.

"I've got about an hour.." she said as she glanced at her clock on her night stand. She then stood up from her bed and waddled to get her crocs. She headed down the stairs, entering her mom's office to speak with her.

"Hey, Livvie" Laura briefly glanced at her daughter and then stared back at her computer. "Are you doing okay?" she inquired.

"I'm not in all honesty..." she drifted, her eyes getting glossy.

"What's wrong?" Laura paused from her work, standing up on her feet. "Is it Spencer?" she approached Olivia, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"There's a woman that wants custody of Angel" Olivia admitted and Laura's eyes nearly popped out of her head. "I know mom...he doesn't know the woman either" she continued.

"I'm sorry about all of this" Laura pulled her daughter in for a hug. "I'm going to get in contact with a few peers and see what we could do as a collective" she said and Olivia thanked her mom.

"I hate to end our conversation short, but would you mind keeping an eye out on Angel?" Olivia inquired. "I'm going to go see Spencer to make sure he's okay" she continued and Laura nodded her head.

"You know I don't mind" Laura smiled. "You just put her down for a nap, right?" she asked and Olivia nodded her head.

"She should be sleep for the next hour or two" Olivia said as she grabbed her house keys. "Thank you, Mom" she smiled.

"No need to thank me. You go ahead and have fun. Be safe!" Laura said, watching Olivia exit her office space.

Olivia stood in the driveway, waiting for Nae to arrive.
