Spencer James

*one hour later*

"Spencer" Laura approached him as he sat in the waiting area. "Can we by chance...talk?" she inquired as she sat in the empty seat next to him. Spencer didn't respond.

"I...I want to apologize about the outburst I had and what I said. I was wrong to blame you for any of this. I was upset and let my emotions get the best of me. I know you wouldn't purposely harm Olivia and your son. I am sorry for what I said" she said and Spencer stared off into space.

"I have nothing to say to you...Laura" he glanced at her in disgust and then stared straight ahead.

"Come on now Spencer. Just hear her out" Mr. A begged and Spencer shook his head 'no'.

"I'm not tryna hear shit from her Pops" Spencer stood up from his seat. "I don't give a damn about yo apology...I know deep down in your spirit there is some animosity towards me" he continued and Laura disagreed.

"That's not true Spencer" Laura said with tears cascading her cheeks.

"Both you and Jordan thought I hit her the first time. You just blamed me for her and my son being in the hospital. You've got something goin' on in the inside, Laura.  You have to be batshit crazy to ever think I would do something to purposely hurt the two most important people in my life outside of my Pops and daughter. You can keep yo sorry ass apology" Spencer said through gritted teeth, shaking his head in disgust.

 "Spencer-"

"Fuck you" he spat at her and Laura wiped her tears.

"That's enough"  Jordan's voice boomed and Spencer glanced at him.  "You have a right to be upset Spence. I'm not invalidating your feelings and I don't agree with what my mom said...but you've got to watch your mouth" he got out of his seat, approaching Spencer.

"I've got to watch my mouth?" Spencer chuckled. "Ya moms got to watch hers, J. Olivia and our son are what's sparin' her from gettin' her feelings hurt for real. This ain't even half of what could be said in this moment" he said.

"Spencer...she apologized" Jordan glanced at his mother and back at Spencer.

"I don't have to accept shit!" Spencer slightly raised his voice. "Laura has her own perceptions about me....or Black men in general. Just because she married ya Pops does not mean she still can't be-"

"Don't you say it" Jordan warned.

"You not gon' beat my ass" Spencer snarked. "Soft ass boy" he shook his head at him.

"I damn near knocked you out the last time we had an issue" Jordan recalled. "Or did you forget that?" he chuckled.

"You ain't do shit to me Jordan" Spencer said, causing Jordan to shake his head.

"Damnit that's enough!" Mr. A stood up from his seat and got between the two young men. "Doin' all this bullshit for nothin'! Y'all ain't mad about shit but yourselves! Y'all blame yourselves for the events of today and instead being grown adults you want to be petty and take shots. Liv would not go for the behavior y'all have shown today. Especially Spencer and Laura" he pointed between the two of them.

"At the end of the day...we all we got in here. The love Olivia and Spencer have for one another is what makes us family" Mr. A continued. "This is the time of comfort...not the opposite. Not in here and damn sure not right now. We've got two people fighting for their lives in this exact moment and y'all niggas wanna act out. Grow the fuck up!" he raised his voice, causing the two young men to nearly jump up.
