Olivia Baker

"Spencer!" Olivia tightly grabbed his wrist as he began to approach Quinten. "Spencer, wait!" She attempted to stop him to deescalate what was about to unfold, but Spencer managed to break through her strong grip.

"The fuck you doin' here?" Spencer approached Quinten, placing his left hand over his right as he waited for a response. "And answer me quickly" he continued.

Olivia nervously gulped as she carefully observed the unfortunate interaction.

"Don't worry about what we got goin' on. This shit ain't about you" Quinten said and Spencer furrowed his eyebrows.

"It ain't about me? Nigga you show up at my house, where my kids lay their heads, asking for my wife. The fuck you mean this ain't about me" Spencer chuckled. "And y'all ain't got shit goin' on, you've got nothin' to discuss. You needa go ahead and bounce" he demanded.

"I'm not leavin' til we talk" Quinten glanced at Olivia and she avoided his eye contact. "So I need you to step out of the way" he suggested.

"I guess I need to make myself clear" Spencer said, taking a step forward. Olivia's nerves kicked in as she placed a hand on Spencer's shoulder.

"What chu think you scarin' somebody?" Quinten chuckled as he also took a step closer to Spencer. "I don't give a fuck about what you think you gon' do" he waved Spencer off.

"You gon' give a fuck about it in a second" Spencer placed his hand on his waist band. "Get yo ass outta here and stay yo ass away from Olivia. I ain't gon' repeat myself either" he warned him.

"That's what you want, Liv? You want me to leave?" Quinten glanced at her and she quickly nodded her head 'yes'. "Hm" he glanced at Spencer's hand on his waist band and then walked away from the young couple.

Spencer's eyes stayed glued on Quinten as he entered his car and exited the Baker residence. Olivia let out the breath she'd been holding, thankful that the situation did not escalate further.

"You alright?" Spencer inquired as he embraced Olivia into his arms.

"I should be asking you that" Olivia said as she gently squeezed his torso. "I was worried, Spencer. This could've gone left real fast" she said, glancing up at him.

"He been over here before?" Spencer questioned. "Don't just stare at me, Liv. Have you had this nigga over here before?" his nostrils flared and Olivia removed herself from him.

"No I haven't. He's never been over here before and I put that on father" she crossed her arms and tilted her head. "You're upset with me, aren't you?" she inquired.

"I'm not blamin' you for him showin' up. But it's just like...damn. This could've all been avoided had you not given that nigga the time of the day" he mentioned.

"That sounds like blame-"

"How can you expect to sleep comfortably knowing that he knows where we lay our heads?" he questioned. "Our family lives here Olivia and-"

"You do not want to have this conversation with me because it's going to be an ugly one" Olivia cut him off. "I'd rather we continue on about our day, like we originally planned. We can have a civilized conversation when emotions aren't high right now" she continued.

"Alright" Spencer sucked his teeth and grabbed Olivia's bag from off of the concrete. The two of them continued their walk up the driveway.

"I had no idea this is what it would have come to. I genuinely thought he was my friend...but I'm starting to get a weird vibe from him" Olivia felt her throat close as her eyes watered. "Spencer...what if the interactions I've had with him were not just a coincidence?" she asked.
