Spencer James

"The hell you mean she's been granted full custody?!" Spencer questioned in complete shock. Despite how strong his arguments were, he didn't think the judge would rule in Destiny's favor.

"Mr. James! You need to calm down!" the judge ordered.

"The hell I don't!" he raised his voice as he stood up from his seat. "You not takin' Angel!" he stared directly at Destiny.

"Relax, Spencer" his attorney whispered and Spencer shook his head 'no'.

"Fuck all that! You not takin' Angel!" he began to charge toward Destiny but security prevented him from doing so. "Mr. James, you need to leave!" the judge yelled at Spencer.

"Let me go!" he yelled as the security began to push him toward the back of the courtroom. "Let me fucking go!" Spencer's voice cracked and he felt a lump in his throat.

Spencer's eyes shot open and he glanced around the bedroom. Covered in cold sweat, he sat up in the bed, clutching onto his chest as his heart pounded excessively.

Breathe, Spencer. You're going to be okay.

Spencer inhaled and exhaled to help relax his mind from the rushing thoughts he'd been having. It was the day of Spencer's custody hearing and he'd been anxious for the upcoming hours ahead. Though he was confident about the verdict, he knew there was a chance it could not go in his favor. For the first time in awhile, he'd been scared.

Spencer turned on the light on the night stand and reached for his journal. He spent the next ten minutes writing his thoughts down, hoping to clear his mind from the anxiety he'd been having. He paused from writing in his journal as Olivia shifted in their bed.

"I'm not disturbing you am I?" he inquired as Olivia shifted around once more.

"You asked me this the night before...and the night before that" Olivia mentioned in an annoyed tone. "The answer's been the same" she said sleepily, closing her eyes.

"My bad" Spencer set his journal back on the night stand and turned the light off. "Good night" he said as he laid back down in the bed.

Spencer heard the sound of Kross crying just as he was about to shut his eyes. He glanced at Olivia, hoping she would go comfort their son, but she slept comfortably. Sighing, he removed himself from their bed and exited their bedroom.

Before heading to Kross' room, Spencer peeked his head in Angel's room, and smiled as she'd been sleeping. He then closed the door to Angel's room and entered Kross'.

"What's the matter little man" Spencer inquired as he gently picked him up from his bed. He checked his diaper and noticed he went to the restroom. He then placed Kross on his changing mat and quickly changed his diaper.

"Is that better?" Spencer pecked his forehead and Kross cried once again. He dropped his head in frustration as he held Kross in his arms again.

He spent the next fifteen minutes on his feet rocking him back and forth, shushing Kross to calm him down.

"Come on Kross" Spencer pleaded in frustration. "You're okay buba" he pecked his forehead.

"I got him" Olivia entered the nursery and reached for their son. "You changed his diaper?" she inquired.

"Yeah. It's the first thing I did when I got in here" Spencer answered as he watched Olivia with their son.

"Spencer, he's clearly hungry right now" Olivia sighed in frustration. "Did you even think to give him a bottle?" she questioned and Spencer mentally slapped himself.
