It had been six years since the downfall of the Templars and true peace but somethings never last. Slade had awoken from yet another restless night and was exhausted, as he made his way downstairs when there was a knock at the door. Slowly approaching  the door he cautiously opened it to find a messenger standing at the entrance. Pardon my intrusion sir but the council has requested to speak with you ,the messenger said in a calm voice that Slade took into account before replying. Very well I will be there shortly he said dismissing the messenger, for he knew that refusing a summons from the council would be an unwise choice so Slade had no option but to go. As he passed through the living quarters to his bedroom he was greeted by Naga who was drinking water from her bowl in the far corner, to which he then preceded to pat her on the head as she had  begun to wag her tail back and forth. Slade then walked over to his closet to get his clothes. He opened the door to find his familiar red and black robes boots and belts. As he dressed himself, he wondered why the council wanted to see him, Slade also wondered about the strange dreams he had for the past months which did trouble him a great deal but he knew it was a matter to resolve at a later time. After finishing getting dressed he patted Naga on the head once more and had left on his way to the council, As he walked on the smooth cobblestones Slade thought to himself that maybe the council wished to see him about the events at the Observatory six years ago. As he pondered and thought about the reasoning of his summons he suddenly was broken from this trance of thought by someone calling his name. Arthur!, a women's voice was heard from behind him with breaking his sense of deep thoughts and bringing him back to reality, to which upon hearing the voice utter his name he turned to see his long time friend Jade Lestrade waving at him with a wide smile on her face. Slade replied back by simply waving at her to which she than began to walk to him, seeing Jade after so many years apart made him wonder if she too was called by the council as he was, with this thought forgotten when she stood a mere inch from him as she spoke. Its been so long  since I've seen you hmm,  judging by your face I assume another restless night? you look awful  you could have called you know, Jade said examining his face, though there was something about Jade's voice that made Slade feel relaxed and warm inside as he replied. Yeah another one, and I know I could have called should have just been finding it hard, to find the time as of late , he replied before removing his hood to get a better look at her as she altered her pace to match his before speaking again. Was it the dreams that you told me about? its been a few months hasn't it? that's not good Arthur, she said as she moved the hair to also see him better as he grumbled. Yeah but I think it may mean something more then dreams, I think they is trying to tell me something but what that is I'm unsure of, he said to which Jade listened as they had split from the merging crowds before she changed the subject. Did you also get a summons from the council this morning? is that where you are going?, she said to him as they crossed the street. Yeah I did they came and woke me up real early didn't even get to have breakfast but we both know refusing is not wise for two masters, Slade joked to which Jade laughed as she reached into her bag, and retrieved a breakfast burrito before handing it to him as she spoke. Here its no use seeing the council on an empty stomach, it has eggs, sausage, ham, and cheese in it I already ate so I'm good, she said as Slade smirked before beginning to eat it. After about thirty minutes of walking Slade and Jade made it to the Citadel which was the seat of the Assassin Order as she spoke, Never thought I'd walk up these steps again seems like a lifetime ago that we've been here, she said to which Slade nodded. Same here forgot how long they were must be something big going on, for them to call upon us both there's no coincidences with the council, he said to which Jade sighed before nodding in agreement. As they walked up the steps they were greeted, by two officers at the northern entrance to which after recognizing them soon spoke. Masters Bolin and Lestrade welcome back, the council is expecting you go on in, one of the officers noted in a calm voice, as to did the messenger from earlier which Slade noticed before he spoke as they passed through the checkpoint. I forgot how big this place was or maybe perhaps, it's gotten much bigger since we were here, he said looking around to which Jade too looked around as she replied. To think that we always used to walk through the courtyard on hot days like this, I still remember the smell of the flowers somethings never change it seems, she said smiling to which Slade did the same. As they slowed their pace to a steady stride they walked through the familiar courtyard, with all its plants and statues of the original three Assassins of old, they also  noticed that they were being watched as Jade had looked around before speaking. Why are they looking at us? she asked to which Slade looked at the recruits before replying. Well we are Master Assassins maybe their thinking that we've come to spectate their training, its not as uncommon as you think, especially since we've more then made a name for ourselves over the years, he said before laughing. As they walked into the council lobby he noticed that Jade was motioning for him, to join her by the far east wall as she started whispering to him. Why do you think they want to see us? its been six years since they've contacted us, she asked him to which he looked at the council doors before speaking. I don't know but for them to contact us at this time is most curious, after all they've left us alone ever since the Observatory, I do suppose we will know the reasoning of our summons soon enough come lets go in.
