Chapter Thirteen : A Serious Condition

After about twenty minutes of running both Slade and John had reached Jade's location to find Ashley on the ground unresponsive, to which as they had arrived with guns fully cocked Jade had rushed to meet them. Thank God your here the both of you come quickly she needs aid I don't know how long she has. She said as Slade had dropped his rifle and rushed over to see Ashley as he spoke again. She's not breathing and there's froth  coming out her mouth Jade what happened here he said as Jade struggled to speak. I don't know she said she was thirty so she went to get a bottle of water and when I returned I found her like this. Slade then moved closer to Ashley and retrieved a vial from his bag, to which as he poured the contents into her mouth she awoke with a start moments later as she spoke. Uh  my head huh? sir? what happened to me? why am I on the ground? Ashley said this attempting to get up though she fell back down as John had caught her before he spoke. Easy Ash just relax now take it one step at a time the Grandmaster here saved you, but can you tell us what happened to you anything you remember? John said this as Jade then started  easing her up slowly as she then started to reply to them. You tell me all I remember is getting a bottle of water, from my bag and then the next thing I'm on the ground looking at you guys. you mean this bottle here hmm Slade what do you make of it? John said this to which Ashley nodded before he handed it to him as he then took it to examine himself. Sniffing the rim of the bottle his face turned very stern to which the others noticed. What's the matter with it Grandmaster what did you discover? John said this taking the bottle again to which Slade had glanced at the residue on his glove and then to them as he spoke again. That Mrs. Crawford is very lucky we arrived when we did this bottle is laced with Medodine Bentine, yes there's no doubt that she was poisoned but by whom I don't know. Slade said setting the bottle aside again as Jade started to examine it as she then spoke again. Your right but Isn't that the stuff, we use for our blow darts and poison bombs? Jade said this puzzled to which Slade nodded silently before speaking again. The very same and its very toxic to which my question is how it ended up on a water Bottle in the first place he questioned. Well I know for a fact that kind of chemical is hard to obtain let alone end up on a water bottle Ashley said to which she got up. You're right Ashley it was placed there but the big question is by who and how they managed to sneak up on us. Jade replied to which Slade then sat down as he started to speak again. Yes this is quite the question however  I sure hope you girls found some good information, we sure as hell didn't  came up empty handed John had replied. Actually we found a very good piece of information come listen. Jade said this before pulling out a recorder as she replied again. Before this incident we were tailing two rather suspicious looking men and we got something but it isn't good. Slade then nodded to which Jade played the recording at first it was silent but then two voices could be heard as they listened closely. Is everything set for our departure ? one of the men said to which another voice could be heard. Yes everything is set the Master has instructed us to catch the morning train at sunrise bound for London the man concluded before the tape ended as Ashley spoke again. That's it we tried to get more but they were on to us and we left before we were noticed. She said to which Slade stood puzzled as he then replied. Their taking a morning train back to London?, back to where we started this journey? but why? could we have been noticed? Slade thought to himself to which Jade then spoke. Their leaving so what do we do now should we head back home? Jade asked to which Slade looked at them before replying. I can say without a doubt that the Master they mentioned in the tape is our Templar friend its clear, they are headed back to London which is our next destination. Slade said to which they all got up as Jade then spoke again. What do you say guys you want to tag along with us on this trip? she asked to which both John and Ashley nodded in agreement as Slade continued .Its settled then for now lets all get back to the apartment and then tomorrow at sunrise, we head to the train station to depart for London Slade said before they all headed back to the apartment to prepare for the long trip ahead of them.
