Chapter Twenty Two : Aftermath

As the Palace was in a complete uproar Slade and Jade had made their way through the rushing crowds of people all trying to escape, to which Slade had then turned on his wrist communicator before speaking. John can you hear me this is Slade, what is your current position? we are in route , he said to which after some static John's voice could be heard coming over as he spoke. Slade? for hell's sake there you are we've been trying to reach you two the Palace is looking for us, me and Ash are at the car park but you two better hurry they are shutting everything down to try and get us John replied to which they soon started running even faster. Through the crowd Slade had ran all while holding Jade's hand though even still she remained close at his side, which surprised him at how well Jade could keep up in that long dress though she had long since gotten rid of her high heels. As they finally reached the car park they both could see John and Ashley trying to get into a car, to which Slade had then rushed up to them Ashley then spoke. Well you two got here in the nick of time its chaos here and I do think that we have over stayed our welcome, But the Master Templar Germane is he dead did you carry out the deed? As Ashley said this Slade then pressed a button on his wrist to which after a moment his car came crashing, through the closed garage door to which she soon took Jade by the hand before speaking. Yes the man lies dead and its now no use in hiding our discretion surely his body would have been discovered by now, everyone in I do believe that Mrs. Crawford is right we have indeed over stayed our welcome, he said before everyone had jumped into his car. Somehow through all the chaos of the night's events and despite the Ball being of the highest security, the group had managed to make their way out of the palace and back to Lestrade Manor unseen to which as they entered Ashley soon spoke up. I can't believe it we actually did it I mean we really pulled it off, John switch on the tele I'm sure its made the news already she said sitting in the nearest chair. Jade soon entered the room with some wine and glasses and offered them to the group, as John had switched on the television to which a news reporter could be heard speaking. Breaking news it is chaos here at the Buckingham Palace as civil leader Germane Von Hoenheim, was found murdered shortly after speaking on his coronation Palace officials noted that Mr. Von Hoenheim did mention quote "Assassin's"  however the ones who perpetuated this crime, have yet to be captured and the Palace has officially been placed on lockdown, and our sources say the Queen was not on site at the time of the murder and has been moved to a safe location pending investigations, we will update you all with further news on this event. With that Ashley then smirks as John claps to which he then takes her glass and is the first one to speak. You see now that's how it's done out and in they don't suspect us at all we covered our tracks, Hell yeah I propose a toast to a job well done everyone wait are we all here. John had spoke right as Slade was nowhere to be seen as they all looked around the room for him, to which Ashley soon sets down her glass before speaking to which she then speaks herself. Yeah where is Bolin? he is the one who killed Germane after all I'm pretty sure he deserves this more then anyone, she said to which Jade then looked towards the back room as she then spoke. I'm pretty sure that I saw him heading to the garden when we entered don't worry, you two can stay here and enjoy yourselves you deserve it I'll go and check up on him Jade said before leaving as John and Ashley continued celebration. With that Jade had started to make her way towards her old garden, as she knew that she would find Slade there and was determined to see if he was okay.
