"Mrs. Hales, the marketing department did a really great job, more people are willing to sign contract with us" Informed a young man, while she walked towards her office with a professional smile. Other people were following her too to relay their information.

"Once the company will be totally alright, I won't forget to raise your salaries" She said and he ran to deliver the news to his department.

"Madam, I've arranged the recruitment process for 11 a.m."

"Let the director of the human resources department be in charge of that."

"Madam, the previous partners we had want to sign contracts with you"

"Make them wait. I don't want partners who behave like rats on a ship"

"Mrs. Hales, I'm done with the file you asked me last week" Said Ms. Hutton a little embarrassed because she was late.

"Great job. By the way, don't let anybody in, I need to concentrate"

"Yes Madam, will that be all?"

"Yes thank you Ms. Hutton, you may leave now"

She sat at her desk and started studying every files one by one and tried to estimate the amount of fund that had been stolen. She was already immersed in her work when the door opened.

"Did you have any difficulty Ms. Hutton?" She asked thinking it was her secretary.

"Hello sweetheart" Said the cold voice of her husband and she looked up from her screen, before returning to her work.

"What are you doing here?" She asked coldly. He walked towards her and tried to kiss her, but she dodged pretending to take a folder from the shelf behind her.

"Why don't we have lunch together?" He asked and she stared at him like he was some fool before bursting into laughter.

"Why would we have lunch together?" She asked and he rolled his eyes.

"Because I want to congratulate you" He said and she chuckled.

"Why would you want to congratulate me?" She asked and he swore.

"Well you did a pretty good job and you were more competent than I thought" She stood a few centimeter from him with arched brows.

"Oh really Mr. Hales? What happened to the 'don't come back crying when you fail'?" She asked and her cursed under his breath.

"For God's sake Altagracia, I've already eaten my words, now let's go and have lunch" He ordered and her brows rose in surprise.

"Who asked you to have a lunch with me?"

"My grandfather"

"Oh, I believe there will be consequences if you don't?"

"Of course there will"

"Then beg me" She said and he almost choked on his saliva.

"Pardon me?" He asked surprised. She smirked and repeated her statement.

"Beg me"

"That's never gonna happen woman"

"Then you know my answer" She said ready to walk back to her desk when he grabbed her hand and spun her having their faces a few inches from each other, their bodies glued together.

"Just like my grandfather didn't leave me a choice, so I am doing with you"

"Y-you won't force me to go anywhere with you, a-and let go" she cursed herself for stuttering.

"Why, do I make you nervous sweetheart?" He asked with a devilish grin.

"No, your breath stinks" She answered trying to mirror his expression. Pissed, he threw her on his shoulder and walked out of the office.

"Put me down now Elijah Hales!" She ordered, but it fell on deaf ears. He walked to her secretary desk and gave her a smile.

"Ms. Hutton, cancel all of my wife's appointments, for the day, we have lunch. Cancel also all the early morning meetings or whatever, the night will be especially long for her" He said and the poor Ms. Hutton blushed nodding.

Other employees too watched the scene ongoing dumbfounded and didn't know whether the redness of their boss face was due to her position or due to the CEO's words. Some immediately took their phone to snap the event. It's not something that happens everyday.

"Drop me down immediately Elijah Hales, I still have work and I'm not a bag of rice!"

"What's wrong about caring for my wife? " He asked staying rooted exactly where he was as others wanted to prolong that embarrassing moment.

"I'm gonna fucking kill you!" She bellowed and he chuckled.

"I can't wait for tonight then"

"Santa mierda" She cursed and started hammering his back. "Put me down immediately" and then he did something that made her froze as well as everyone present.

He slapped her ass. The slap was so hard that it echoed in the whole level and she was pretty sure it would leave a bruise.

"Stop ordering me around sweetheart" He said, his voice becoming all of a sudden extremely deep and sexy.

She was going to faint from embarrassment. All her employees stared at her with round eyes and some even snapped the scene. She couldn't help but cover her face. It was childish but it gave her the impression of not being seen anymore.

Just you wait and see, Elijah, you're dead meat.

He chuckled as though he could hear her thoughts. He walked to his car, opened the passenger seat, threw her in the car, fasten the seatbelt and closed it before walking to his side and doing the same for himself.

"What was that for?" She asked. Her beautiful blue orbs burning in anger, her bun was messed up and her low neckline showed a little bit of her cleavage if you concentrate on it.

"My face is up here, estupido" She glowered at him.

"Did you just call me stupid?" He asked and she glared it him.

"You merit a good beating for what you just did" She said and he smirked starting the car. She was still red from the events and he decided to let him believe only at this moment that she was really embarrassed by that.

"Serves you right for disobeying me. I'm ready to do it every time you do something I don't like"

"People will get bored from the same event everyday" She said grumpily and he arched an amused brow.

"So you want to piss me off everyday. Don't worry, I'll find something new everyday, I'm very creative" He said and she stayed quiet. He thought she was giving up while she was instead planning her revenge.

After lunch, they went straight back home. They met Yaya, who was going to the grocery store, leaving them both alone. He turned on the T.V. ready to watch a debate on business when Altagracia changed the channel to put some music which luckily for her played Shakira's songs, and heavens agreed to her revenge since it started singing hips don't lie.
