"Orlando..." She whispered, horrified seeing his blood stained face and the shiny handgun in his right gloved hand.

"Did you miss me?" He asked and she took a few step back.

"How did you find me?" She asked and he chuckled, and in two long strides, he grabbed her, throwing her on the couch and she fought the urge to place a protective hand on her stomach. If she did, she and her baby were doomed.

He sat facing her, twirling his handgun like it was just a toy and not something that could end you life at the slightest slip of the finger.

"I am a king darling, and a king always get what he wants" He said and she chuckled, despite the fear in her stomach.

"I guess your trip in prison was your wish as well?" His face contorted in fear and disgust before he masked it with a smile. Seeing his expression, it wasn't really a trip.

"That would be one of our main topic dear fiancee..."

"Don't call me that"

"I CALL YOU WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT!!!" He hollered and she lifted both hands in surrender as he pointed his gun at her, fighting the urge to protect her belly once again. When he saw how docile she was, he finally smiled and retracted his hand. "Good" He said and she let out the air blocked in her chest through a silent sigh.

"Tell me Alty, what does that man has that I do not? I am rich, I am good looking as well. Even if you want a big dick I have one as well, so why? WHY DID YOU CHOOSE HIM OVER ME?!!" She asked and she looked at him for a minute as he ran a hand through his hair.

Indeed Orlando was good-looking and well fit, he was filthy rich and even showered her with affection from the very first day he saw her. Why then?

"Because you are a psychopath who tried to force yourself on me. An unrepentant pervert..."

"What did you want me to do, you didn't want to give me a chance?"

"Because I wasn't ready! That was something I would never forgive you. I would have if you were drunk, but you were perfectly conscious and it was even premeditated. You didn't stop there. You published news of me being a whore, blackmailed me and..." The paused when she saw him crying.

"Do you just know what you did by sending me to jail, and for sexual harassment? There, they raped me. They placed a screwdriver next to my ear, threatening to make me deaf, daring me to move while taking turns, fucking me like I was just a slut. They did it every. Single. Day until I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to break out of prison. I wasn't easy, but I did it. Most of my partners had let me down, but I just had enough of them left to have you down for our final play" He said and she frowned, before mellowing down her expression.

"I'm really sorry for what happened to you in prison, I ..."

"I've always been fascinated by Shakespeare. He was one of the reason I learned English, but his piece of work I loved most was Othello" He said standing up and she looked around, realizing her maids were standing there the whole time, terrorized.

"Let them go Orlando, please" She said and he cackled hysterically.

"You know how the play unfolded right? We will need an Emilia. I would be Othello and you Desdemona " He lifted his gun and without remorse, shot down three of her maids, leaving only one alive, which was the youngest of them all.

Her name was Talia and she was sixteen years old, very ravishing, maybe even more than she was. And now, she had just seen her mother and her two sisters dying. She let out a grief stricken scream and Orlando slapped her, hard to silence her. She crumpled to the floor in shock, starting ahead of her.

Altagracia felt so bad for the girl. Initially, she was a very silent girl. Her mother usually told Altagracia she went through something she never told anyone about and though she smiled, the light in her green eyes had dimmed.

"This won't do. I should have asked if any of them knew about the story of Othello before killing them" He pinched the bridge of his nose like a tired father before sighing. "we'll do with what we have" He crouched to her level and smiled at her. "Hello beautiful" He said but she just started directly in front of her, like she was an empty shell. "Looks like our Emilia is out of service for now, sigh" He strode towards Altagracia, who leaped from her sit, her expression finally betraying her as she placed a hand on her lower abdomen, and his eyes zeroed on her stomach then he frowned.

This was it. She was doomed.

"You dirty bitch!" He slapped her and she collapsed to the floor, her lower lip bleeding. "I'll kill you. Othello was right, such vile woman who cheat on their husband should just die."

"When will you get it, I was never your wife, I was never yours " She said and he smiled maniacally.

"And you'll never be anyone's else. I can't wait for the son of a bitch to come and see his slut and unborn bastard death, in my arms"

That was when she understood. He wanted to kill her and them kill himself, leaving Talia as the only eye witness.

This madman!

He pointed his gun at her and she decided that even till her last breath, she wouldn't beg this psychopath. Her only regret was to her unborn child as she shut her eyes waiting for the blow. The sharp pain piercing her skull before death's cold hands embraced her.

Instead she heard the sound of footstep and as she opened her eyes, she saw her husband, running towards Orlando, who was too slow into pulling the trigger and the fell to the floor, exchanging punches.

Her eyes widened. Where was the gun? If Orlando still had the gun, then, it would be a disaster. She still searched frantically and then she saw them rising, fighting over something between them, something silvery and shiny.

The gun!

And again everything went too fast and two distinct gunshots were heard.

"ELIJAH!!!" was the last thing she screamed before falling unconscious.

Fact: Othello is surely one of my favorite tragedies of Shakespeare where the main character (Othello) kills his wife (Desdemona) because one of his "friends" (Iago) had set her up to be cheating on him with another of his friends, Cassio (The poor guy was innocent🥲). So he killed his wife. Emilia, the maid, who had seen all of her husband's plot(Iago) was killed by the latter as an unwanted witness. When the Moor(Othello) realized his error, he stabbed himself to death, dying next to his beloved.

Orlando wanted to prove Othello was right as he wanted to rid the world of the "strumpet" that Altagracia was. At least in his head, they were married and she was the unfaithful one who spat on their vow.

With that, coming up next is the epilogue😋.
