"wha - WHY ARE YOU HERE?!"

the deity ducked just under her husband's arm, plunging her warblade straight into a god-killer's chest.

"TO MAKE SURE YOU DIDN'T DIE??"

the avatar promptly threw his sword at an oncoming creature, vines and shards of bloodied earth following the blade.

"I'M IMMORTAL -"

she lightly bonked the taller figure on the head with the flat part of her blade - albeit carefully, she loved him too much to hurt them.

"go help your siblings, I'll be fine!" she insisted sternly, "just - be careful -!"

she bolted back into the fray before they had the chance to reply.

.

.

.

"and, oh, of course - not only must I deal with you, of all wretched creatures -"

the faceless tore an oncoming god-killer's jaw clean off, before driving the handle of their spear into the lantern-holder's chest, shoving him away.

" - but we are interrupted by not only the CORE ITSELF and a few hundred former clanmates? how delightful."

she groaned, sounding more annoyed than afraid or concerned. then promptly dug the head of her blade into the ground -

a spell of frost struck beneath, setting up narrow barriers in a brilliant burst of ice - and were promptly covered in black and blue blood, as fragile creatures broke their noses and their necks attempting to reach the duo inside.

they promptly whirled, hitting the assistant in the face with the flat part of their blade.

' there is no escape. '

then came that cold, cold feeling in his chest.
