there was a long pause of silence - as if everyone was holding their breath.

then the rumbling subsided.

the wolf let out a deep exhale, allowing the barrier to fall...then promptly collapsing onto the handle of her axe, leaning heavily on it as a crutch.

"it's over.."

.

.

.

needless to say, after she broke the silence with that simple statement, chaos ensued. good chaos, though.

the avatar damn near tackled their wife in a panic, then bombarded her with a flurry of apologies and questions asking if she was alright, while she tried to convince him she was -

the symbols of frost and stars scattered about the area, helping any and all who had collapsed or was injured -

the black cat and the lynx did the same, checking those who had fallen with injuries, while the butterfly leviathan made rounds around the premises, healing everyone she could find, replenishing their energy -

the panthras scattered, trying to find their other siblings, before promptly tackling said siblings out of pure joy once found -

the lioness went to do a headcount - just in case, while the guardian ran into the city to check on civilians.

the harvestman slumped against his spear, the golden-eyed passed out on his shoulder.

the lantern-holder pushed themselves off the ground with a groan, sitting back on his heels. he turned a bit to look at the faceless, who was...still crouched on the ground, covering their face out of fear of accidentally harming the others.

he stared for a moment.

then pounced on her.

the wolf startled back awake upon hearing the stunned squeak of her friend, before yanking her axe back, promptly aiming it to swing at the antlered -

- before realizing he was just. trying to move her arms away from her face.

"kozbiiiiiii~!! lemme see your face!! the Core's dead now, it's probably fineee!! kozbIIII -"

the overseer just. kept dodging him. she even teleported away, trying to speed-walk off, but was intervened by her ally, who got uncomfortably close, forcing her to walk backwards.

"kozbi - kozbi - kozbi - kozbi - lemme seee ~"

she made a quiet, defiant squeak in response.

the lantern-holder huffed, making a bit of a face.

he then grabbed both of her hands, then pulled them up, so she was forced to remove her arms if she didn't want to bend backwards.

"...holy SHIT??? -"
