"This is tellement a stupid idea!" Anthony announced, as he turned the baking book upside down in hopes of better understanding what was written on those pages.

"You're giving up before you even tried?" Kadir raised an eyebrow. He looked absolutely bizarre in that pink apron but the girls probably would have fallen for him anyways, if they got to see him like this. I might have been quite handsome but Kadir really did play in a different league.

"Mon dieu, I'm just trying to protect Tyson from getting rejected. Alexy doesn't seem to be the kind of girl that would enjoy an idiotic dinner date as a birthday present. Tyson, trust me, you should-"

Bam! Anthony could not even finish what he was saying because suddenly someone opened the door to our kitchen. As smart as we were, we left the pots right in front of it. Luckily we had not started with the chocolate just yet.

A pair of brown eyes, which could have very well been a copy of my own, glanced at us. The moment those eyes noticed the pink apron Kadir was wearing, a loud laughter emerged.

"What the hell Kadir?! Is that your mom's apron?" My brother David joked as he could not stop himself from laughing. Suddenly Kadir turned bright red. It really was his mother's apron. She lend it to him, when he told her that we were meeting up to cook together.

If it had not been for Eric, who tried his best to calm David down, he probably would have continued to laugh for the rest of the night. Besides, Eric was probably trying to distract David, since he had not noticed the pink headband on the counter just yet. We were all pretty much aware that Kadir was going to wear it sooner or later.

"What are you doing here anyways? It's been rare for you to be home lately." I interrogated David, as I crossed my arms in front of my chest. Instantly David realised that the mood had changed for the worse, so he decided to play it safe.

"No worries, I just wanted to grab something to eat. I'll be gone in a minute. What are you guys doing here anyways and why is Christian in the dining room, dressed as a butler?"

"Your brother has a date tonight and we're here to support him." Eric tried to explain calmly and more serious than necessary.

"A date? People don't actually think you're a disgusting stalker that is obsessed with a mentally broken streamer? Who could possibly agree to go on a date with you?"

That was a critical hit from David. I felt the pain right inside my heart. He was not wrong but it still hurt to hear him say it. Siblings really do be saying the harshest things to you without caring how it makes you feel, especially when they are younger than you.

"I totally agree with you David. I'm not sure how Tyson managed to get her either. She's like really hot. I think her chest size must be somewhere around-"

"Oh shut up Anthony!" I hit his head as hard as possible before he could possibly go down a path he was not supposed to.

At the very least David had finally heard enough. He got himself an apple and simply left. Finally I let out a long sigh, before telling Eric to start with the chocolate. He nodded and got straight to work. Same went for Kadir, who despite still being embarrassed about the apron, figured it would not hurt to wear the headband. Only Anthony continued to throw a tantrum after I slapped him. I sent him to help Christian out, since I could not listen to his nagging anymore.

"I love you too!" I shouted after him, before he closed the door behind him.

Despite everything, we were finished earlier than I had imagined. The salad was fresh, the potatoes were perfectly boiled and the brownies were otherworldly. Now all we had to do was wait for Alexy.

I realised that I had been sweating from all the work, thus I decided to change into some more fitting clothes. Eric however had it the worst of us all. As he tried to prepare the chocolate, some of it splashed on his face and his black and white striped shirt. He looked as if he had bathed in mud. Even Kadir was better off in his pink working clothes.

Alexy arrived just in time. When she rang the doorbell, Christian was ready to open it and to invite her in (without talking or even looking at her obviously). I was a little jealous when I saw how good he looked in that suit compared to me. Kadir helped to style his hair, which had usually been messy to hide his earring. For some reason he felt ashamed of it. Even now her tried to hide it with a strand of his brown hair that was barely long enough.

When Alexy handed him her jacket, he however acted like a true gentleman and hung it up for her, before he disappeared into the bathroom where we had stored the drinks. We made sure that Christian could stay as far away from the kitchen as possible.

"I'm glad you made it." I whispered, as I hugged Alexy. We sat down at the round table which had been decorated romantically with candles. Honestly, Christian and Anthony did too much of a good job. Since when die they know what a romantic atmosphere had to be like?

"I really didn't expect anything like this. Did you plan all of this?" Alexy asked amused. Her smile was as bright and gorgeous as always. It made my heart melt.

"Actually, I read about it in a book..." I admitted ashamedly. Before Alexy could say anything, Christian suddenly appeared with our drinks. Her poured each one of us a glass of grape juice, before disappearing back into the bathroom. This was the sign for Anthony to bring our food. For once his constant training at the gym was actually worth something. He carried all of the plates with ease, as if he had been doing this all his life.

"Are Kadir and Eric in the kitchen?" Alexy wondered sincerely curious.

"They should be but Eric probably decided to accompany Christian in the bathroom."

"Oh my, with all the people here? How naughty of them. I never expected Christian to be the kind of person that enjoyed the thrill of getting caught."

"Jeez, come back to reality please. And I thought Anthony was the pervert here."

"So you don't think I'm innocent anymore?"

"No chance darling. Not after this comment."

The rest of the night went smoothly. Alexy enjoyed every moment of it. I felt a little disappointed when she had to leave but in the end I was happy that she even decided to spend her birthday with me. Besides, spending the rest of the night with the guys was not too bad either. About twenty minutes after Alexy left, Siren started a stream together with everyone besides Sam. She was not drinking or anything at all. She seemed happy, even though I could not see her face behind the mask. The truth is, on that day it was not just Alexy's birthday. It was Siren's birthday as well.
