History of Anura and Djev

War is not beautiful. Sometimes it's an idea romanticized by books and movies, but the truth is that it reaps lives and destroys places.
Anura and Djev have not always been at war. There were times of peace, a peace that lasted for many hundreds of years. But it's like they say "nothing lasts forever".
Until the year 1000, Anura and Djev were one country, but there were clear cultural differences between the eastern and western sides. Several civil wars led to the division of this country.
From 1000 to 1638 there was peace, the two nations coexisted peacefully and established trades. In short, they establishment a relation of friendship.
Anura noticed that it was a much more powerful nation at the military and economic level and organized an invasion of Djev to annex the territory. The country felt betrayed. The djevians did not believe that the neighboring nation had invaded them.
From 1638 to 1981
Anura ruled but over time anurian people tried to include djevian people in the government in order to return to being just a country in spirit. National union was what was expected to achieve internal peace. Over the course of 3 centuries none of these things worked and so they decided to separate the countries again.
From 1981 to 2009
Djev was resentful and quickly organized militarily to try to confront Anura. This act culminated in almost 10 years of intermittent war.
From 2009 to 2235
The economies of both countries were about to burst. No nation had the budget to endure more war and so they signed a peace treaty.
Everything was in the right direction when Djev's political system changed radically. Before it was a free democracy like Anura, but it came to have an authoritarian regime.
In the year 2229, Gen, a man with distorted morality, took the leadership of the regime. He united the country by appealing to nationalism and patriotism and pointing out an enemy that would have to be destroyed: Anura. He managed to balance the country's finances and started a mass production of weapons.
Then in 2235 Djev invaded Anura by destroying the Kolov district and put an end to more than 200 years of peace.
2245 - Nowadays
As a citizen of Anura I felt the duty to serve my country and it has been a long way to go. The conflict is about to break out and it won't be beautiful at all. The two nations are stronger than ever and ready to put an end to wars ONCE AND FOR ALL.
