Alex POV
On weekends, the base is practically empty. The recruits go home but some ,who are from areas further away from the capital , choose to stay. I've been staying here, it honestly helps me keep my head busy. I have the training equipment at my disposal, I can run alone and eat in silence.
A strange fact: my brother has been going out during the weekends. He is an adult so he knows what he does but I have the flea behind my ear. Does he still hang out with that girl he mentioned last time? No, it's probably another one.
I was walking ,lost in the corridors , when I suddenly saw the gunsmith's door open. No one will care if I'm going to peek. I enter In the giant room, full of weapons, from knives to laser guns. On the left side and ,well guarded, are the grenades. One of my favorites attack modes. There are several types of grenades: fragmentation, stunning, pepper gas... I like all of them. It can create very effective traps, it is fast and lethal.
I slid out of the room before someone found me, but I was sure I would go back there.
