Chapter 30

I picked the train and once I found a seat, I started listening to music. After a while I decided to grab the book Alex lended to me. "Minds growing" it's the title. I've read the synopsis and it was about the importance of fortifying the mind. It says that it's a short guide to be mentally safe, healthy. I think that's great, because the mind gets the body moving, I guess. Then, I started to read it while listening to jazz melodies.

I didn't notice the time passing when I finished the book and realized that there were only 15 minutes left for the trip to end. Such a great book! I will have to thank that idiot, who seems to be not that idiot, for this amazing book. I loved it! The way it talks about the mind, and the way that shows how to take control of it, wow.
I continued with the book in my hands for the next 15 minutes, thinking about what I've read.
When the train stopped, I left the carriage with my package and went to a bus station because my house is still too far away. After a while I was at the front door of my house.

I knocked.

- Anya? - My mom asked, surprised.

- I'm back for two weeks mom.

She pulled me inside the house and kissed my cheeks. Then, Tanya came and hugged me while crying. She's 11 but looks like she is older, maybe because I was away for some months and she's still the same.

- We missed you AA.

- I've missed you too TT. - I picked her up and hugged her.

- Come, let's sit at the table. - My mom invited - How are you, dear?

- I'm well mom, and you two ?

- We're good, don't worry. We just missed you so much.

- Now I'm here for two weeks, so we can enjoy this time.

- I'm so happy to see you here, although I thought you would be out for more time, what's the matter?

- Me and another two recruits from my group were recruited for another military base, Kettershield. It is located in Brittian district. So, the superiors dismissed us from the training sessions, since the departure for Kettershield is in two weeks. I think they liked us, so they're giving us time to relax before getting kicked on that place.

- That's great, right? Was Dominick, your friend, recruited too?

- No. Just me, Caitlyn and Alex.

- Are they your friends?

- Caitlyn is. She is amazing, you would love her.

- And Alex?

- He's kind of an enemy, although, an enemy who lends you a book. He 's mysterious.

- Hm, I see.

- Sonya Allen, don't you dare to think that! - me and my mom laughed.

- Okay, okay. Enemies. What do enemies do?

- Oh, they compete and kick each other's faces.

- Tell me everything.

I told practically everything to my mom, while TT heard us with a beautiful smile on her cute face. So grown up.
After lunch, the three of us went out for a sea walk. How I missed this specific place.

- You're still wearing that bracelet. - My mom said.

- I never take it off.

- Let me see it again. You were away for so long that I don't remember as I should. - Requested Taylor, my TT. - It's beautiful, I love the moon image, but what does this sentence mean?

- TT, "benedictus luna" means "blessed by the moon". Do you like it?

- Yes, I adore it.

We walked for a long time at the seashore, with the sand touching our feet. The entire day was at my favorite place. Feels good to be back.

- Mom, is the money the military pays enough?

- Of course it is, darling. And please, don't worry about us. It's a great amount, and I still have my job.

- It's good to know mom. I just want the best for you two.

- We know darling. - she gave me a huge hug.

The days passed, and soon enough it was time to go back to Ilwon.
I've missed my family so much, and I will remember these two weeks with love.
At 9.50 I picked the train and went to where my duty was. I reread the book on the trip.
