Caitlyn helped me pack my stuff. Just simple things, some clothes, hygiene products, and not much more. Once we finished packing we went out for a walk around the town. The superior Pierce said to Caitlyn (after he left and she runned after him to ask him) that we were allowed to be out of the base.
Caitlyn knew a lot of places since she is naturally from Ilwon, and I just knew the way to the sea.
We left from the front gate of the base and went to a straight street.

- Don’t worry. This is Helshjiv’s streat, I know all of this city.

- Who would've known? Gps is overrated, Caitlyn is the new concept.

- I know, right?

- But where are we going? This street doesn’t seem to have an end!

- We’re going to the center of Ilwon and this street is a shortcut for that beautiful place.

After a 15 minute walk we arrived there.
I love it. It’s so sunny, a little warm and it has a small river crossing the place, close to Starbucks.
There’s a beautiful garden with different flowers and at the top of the garden there’s an old church. I can see a lot of shops on the sides of the roads and people carrying bags from their shopping. Children waiting for their popcorn at a small cabin who sells it. There’s also a ferris wheel situated in a large field. I want to go there!

- Caitlyn, can we go to the ferris wheel?

- Of course we can!

Once we were there, we paid to the kind lady responsible for the ferris wheel and sat down on the place she told us. The view was amazing. Every person on the ground looked like ants. We could see everything. The houses, the streets, the cars, the river. Such a great thing to do in the afternoon!
You like it! You can’t stop smiling, Anya!
I have never seen something like this. I can also see the ocean from here! It 's amazing.
After this incredible experience, Caitlyn grabbed my arm and said:

- We’re going to my favorite shop.

She loved shopping, oh my god. I don’t have any idea of how many clothes she tried on in 20 minutes. And every single one fitted her well.

- Anya, try this.

- I’m not a girl who appreciates a dress.

- Come on, it’s beautiful. Have you seen the color? White can match with your brown hair and your honey brown eyes. Try it and then we leave.

So, I tried it on.

- YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT WITH YOU. THAT’S A HOT AND BEAUTIFUL DRESS. IT WAS MADE FOR YOU!

- You’re exaggerating.

- Girl, I don’t care about your lack of fashion sense, I’m going to buy it for you.

- Caitlyn, don’t.

- Someday we will go out at night and you will use it.

With a blink of eyes, she was at the purchase counter buying her clothes and that white dress.
Then, we left the store.

- You’re annoying. - I said

- I know. -And she smiled.

- By the way, where’s your house? You live here at the center?

- Yes. It’s a 5 minute walk away. We can go there but now I’m going to show you the other part of the city.

We were walking close to houses, company buildings and caffe places. The houses were like castles, with enormous gates and large windows. The Buildings were really high, I could say that they ended in the clouds. The caffe places were simple, with various colors on the exterior walls, like blue, pink and yellow.
There was the river again. We crossed a beautiful bridge over it, and on the water there were people on canoes.
Once we crossed the bridge, Caytlin guided us to her house.
It was enormous. White walls, a splendid garden, statues of Greek mythology, even a cascate!

- Let’s go inside so that I can see my parents.

Her mother opened the big door.

-Oh sweetie! - And hugged her-  How are you? And what about the military, why aren’t you there?

- Hey mom! Nice to see you too. We were dismissed because we’re going to a special recruitment in two weeks, in the Brittian district, where the stronger military base is.

- That’s great, it seems you’re doing very well to be recruited again. OH, hi darling. I’m Caitlyn’s mom, Penelope Martinez. Nice to meet you. - She gave me a hug.

- Hi! I’m Anya Allen, Caitlyn’s friend. It’s an honor to meet you.

- Louis!!! Caitlyn is here! -her mother shouted.

- WHAT? OUR LITTLE GIRL IS HERE? - a male voice echoed through the house. I assume it’s her father's voice. Then he came and hugged Caitlyn. After hugging his daughter, he presented himself to me, as kind as Caitlyn’s mother.

- Mom and dad, it was very nice to see you two again but we have to go, I was showing the city to Anya.

- Oh, it 's fine. But you should visit us if you could. - Her dad said.

- Maybe the superior could let me be here during the two weeks.

- If they had let me, they are going to let you as well. - I encouraged her.

We said our goodbyes and continued our walk.

- Your parents are really nice.

- Yes, they can be.

- What do you mean?

- Do you see that street ahead?

- I do.

- That street leads to the poorest part of the town.

We walked towards it.

- My father is the leader of one of the most popular financial companies and my mom is a leader of a lawyer firm. They studied, but they never struggled in life due to monetary situations. Their parents were rich, as we are now. The problem is that they do not care for the poor. If my father sees a great financial opportunity and has to take down social housing apartments, he does it. If a client of my mom is poor and needs someone to defend them in court, she won’t do it because my mom and my dad believe that the poor are trash people. The truth is that a lot of those people never had the opportunity to study properly, and if they were born into a poor family, no one will believe that they can get out of poverty. So, they don’t have any way to improve their life because of the ones who have.

- That 's unfair. I was born in a stable family. We weren’t poor but we weren't also rich. After my dad left, we had small resources so I had to start working at 12 years old, so I couldn’t study how much I deserved to, nevertheless, I was a great student. People need to know that no matter your age, gender and social position, you have the right to do more for your life, and no one should be criticized or discriminated against for it .

- That is what I always try to put in their minds.

We continued walking and I could see the misery and lack of conditions in this poor part of the city. The exterior walls of the social houses were degraded, some had holes. Children in damaged clothes, as well as their parents. Everyone was unhealthy, including the animals.
One side of the town is full of money and happiness. On the other side of the town there was just a lack of humanity. And that is a crime.
