After taking a shower, I left with a towel at my waist. Fuck it. I bet no one was going to be in the hallway at this time. Shower is a basic need that has been denied to me and my brother many times. For a few years we only had the river to wash ourselves. I try to ward off these thoughts. What counts is the present but the past will always be in memory.
Passing through the corner of the hallway I saw two silhouettes at my doorstep. It seemed like they were trying to hear something. I approached and when I realized who they were, I smiled.
