Anya POV
What better way to improve my fighting skills than practice?
I woke up really early and went to the gym. Here, in the military base they have a place for
people to work out. I decided to go early so that I could be alone. It was 3 A.M.I love sleeping but I like getting revenge more and becoming better. The room is big. There's a lot of things, like boxing bags, weight bars, running platforms, and so much more. I will focus on the boxing bags. As soon as I put bandages on my hands, I started hitting the punching bag. I watched carefully the instructor when he showed us some moves.
At the time, I remember him saying "Focus on what you're doing. Think about the
fight, leave your mind only to that. Power is strength but only if you let your mind be in the
right place." He also said " Always have a good angle of vision. Do not take your eyes off the opponent. If you're slow, you should attack first at the throat with a quick move. If you're fast, try hitting the ribs". And last, "Take a breath when punching, it will help you to relax and focus harder. Also, "spread your legs, place one more forward and bend your knee a little." That's what I did. First, I punched the bag at the top, where there would be a throat. I flexed my right knee, with my legs apart. I focused my mind on the bag. "The power is my mind", I mentally repeated. Then, I punched the left side of the bag. I was training my movements and learning a better way to know my strength and my fists. I stayed there until 4:30 AM.I was going to do it a thousand times if I had to.
