Alex POV

Next day :

Hangover. This is the best word to describe the environment in the training room. The captains scheduled training for the afternoon in order to make life easier for us, but there are dead-looking people.
Today they would test our bow and
arrow skills. Bad luck for me. I've never touched an arrow before but how hard can it be? Who had time to play with arches
were the people of the south and the capital, whose money could be spent on amusements.
They divided us into 2 groups and at the end of the training we would make a "competition". While one of the captains was explaining how it was supposed to handle the bow, I saw Anya leave. After a few minutes she came back with a bow in her hand. I roll my eyes. That bow was different from the others, it was ,probably,
personal.
- Exhibitionist.
- Nice.
- Shut up Ethan.
— Hmmmm we have someone upset here - He laughed.

I paid attention again to what the captain was saying and soon we started training. For beginner I wasn't bad at all. The goal was to hit the target so nothing new to me ,just the bow. Surprisingly, Ethan was quite skilled, later I'll ask for a little help.

I looked to the other side and saw her. The way she held the bow, the way she faced the target. Anya was in her comfort zone. The arrow hit right in the center and
the captain of her group praised her .

Exhibitionist.

About an hour later, the competition began. I beat my first opponent because my aim was better but honestly it was pure
luck. Everything was going well until I saw my next opponent. It had to be her. Of course.

- I'll have mercy on you.

- Go fuck yourself little shit.

- Someone is sulking because they know they're going to lose. Just saying.

- Can you shut up? I'm losing concentration and brain cells.

- Good luck idiot, you'll need it.

She got into position, ready to shoot the arrow and I did the same. Needless to say, it was almost humiliation. Of 10 arrows she hit all in the target and with incredible accuracy, but I ? ... better not even comment.

- 1/1 idiot. I wouldn't mind teaching you some lessons but you are too arrogant- Is she really trying to play with fire?

- I don't want anything coming from you.

- You're the one who loses. - I've been here for a short time and I'm already sick of her. I don't know why she annoys me so much but the fact is just look at her make me angry.
We finish training by doing the muscle relaxation and were dismissed.

I quickly left the scene and bumped into Isaac.

- Sorry.

- What's going on, Alex?

- Nothing. I'm ok.

- Do you want to talk?

- I just want to ask you a question. Is it normal to get angry just for looking at a person that you've only known for a few days?

- No, unless this person hurt you.

- She didn't.

- Does she have a name?

- You'd better not know, believe me. So it's probably my anger issues right?

- Maybe ... you really should be careful with that.

- I'll see that later. Thank you.

- Always at the orders recruit. - He smiled. If it weren't for this man, I would have already died. I owe him my life but it's a debt that
he never charged.

- What are you going to do this weekend?

- Out - Strange reply.

- New girlfriend?

- Honestly, I think she is the woman of my life. I can't wait to meet her - I said in an ironic tone. Isaac had a lot of girlfriends, he's the real playboy.

- I swear, this time it's really for getting married.

I pat his on the back - Can't wait to see.
