Riley's POV

*

After we were done eating, I decided to read a little while Luci was working. Then we were told that the Owens had driven into the estate gate already.

My heart skipped a beat and I quickly got up from the chair, eagerly opening the door.

Luci took his time to sort out his things at his work desk while I waited in anticipation at the entrance.

"Let's go." He said after he was done, placing a protective arm around my waist while shutting the door. "Don't be nervous."

I nodded and alighted the stairs a step before him, walking through the sitting room and quickly stepping out of the house.

My eyes widened at the sight of three men alighting two different cars. The one that alighted the Audi was around Luci's height and the other two men were almost Luci's height as well.

But they all had black hairs, unlike me. Still, after looking closely, one could easily tell the ones that were my brothers and the one that wasn't.

The brothers looked alike. I had their nose and lips. A strange feeling surfaced in my mind as I watched them from the spot I stood.

Luci took his arm from my waist and gave me a look so I could approach them but I just stood in my spot, feeling awkward because I didn't know what to do. What do you do when you see your sibling for the first time ever?

Do you act shy or do you hug them?

Amelia was usually reserved and sometimes even showed fear in front of Luciano. Rex and Roxy usually acted randomly with each other but never did stuffs like hugging even as twins.

Should I also greet them casually? But I'd never met them before.

Maybe I should just follow my instinct. At the moment, I wasn't feeling sad, or very excited. Just a bit melancholic even though my thoughts were in a jumbled mess.

I tucked a strand of my hair to the back of my ear and licked my lower lip, watching the men exchange some words before approaching us.

The one coming in front smiled brightly as he stopped right in front of me and bent a little, resting his palms on my knees.

"Is this my sister? She's the one. She has the prettiest hair and eyes ever." He whispered in my face, his chocolate musky cologne filling up the air. Then straightened up and opened his arms for me.

Tears welled in my eyes at the overwhelming feeling and I walked into his open arms, crying because I just couldn't help it.

"It's okay, were here now. Sorry we couldn't come sooner." He patted my head.

After a while, I stepped back and looked up at the one with a darker aura, who was staring at me as if he wanted to see through my soul and learn my deepest secrets.

He looked very much like the one hugging me but he had higher cheekbones and appeared to be a brooding man with his deep gaze.

"I'm the one that called you the other day. My name is Fredrick and he's our parent's first child, Mario. The man beside him is his PA." He introduced the both of them while I dabbed at my cheeks.

"Hi Mario, I'm Riley. Hello." I told him and his PA consecutively with a smile.

Mario nodded and used his right hand to pat my head, a glint of warmth in his eyes even though he didn't put much effort in showing emotions.

"How have you been? Sorry we couldn't bring you home sooner." He then turned to Luciano after repeating Fredrick's words. "Mr Morello, we meet again. Sorry to have troubled you over our sister's matter."
