Riley's POV
*
In all the several months, close to a year that I'd spent with Beast, I'd never been scared like I currently was. And the current situation I found myself wasn't the only part of it. No, it was just one of the things that made me know my whole life and the beautiful relationship I'd built with Luciano could be flushed down the drain at any minute.
I woke up a while ago and did my morning rituals, thinking back to when I'd slept off while Beast's head was inside my shirt. I couldn't believe I'd slept after he pleasured me, like a damn baby and I blushed to the thought all through my shower.
Then after dressing up and applying some lip gloss just because, I was just heading downstairs when I'd heard the commotion. That was when it all began.
It had sounded like a coalition, like a bomb had just gone off somewhere. I waited for a minute and heard no sound but all of a sudden, there were gunshot sounds and the voice of men shouting from outside.
With wide eyes and a palpitating heart, I'd ran to Beast's room. Our room.
One thing beast and Dennis had repeatedly told me was that if for any reason, there was ever an attack at home, I should lock myself in the room and hide in the toilet till they sorted it out.
So I did just that and sat in the middle of the bed, waiting for Dennis or Tito to come get me. I also picked my revolver and readied myself in case I needed to use it.
But after waiting for ten minutes and no one came, I realized something might be really wrong.
Dennis would never take this long.
I searched for my phone in panic, trying to calm myself down as possible as I could. I couldn't find the phone though, which meant I couldn't call Beast. Which meant I was royally fucked because he was probably at work.
Just as I was pacing, there was a gunshot on the door and I almost yelped in fright.
I hid behind the door when it was shot at again but the door still didn't open.
"Having problems?" A voice hollered. It sounded like the person was coming from down the hall. And it wasn't a voice I was familiar with.
Because whenever Beast was around, I would go to the defence room with him. Defense room was the room the men usually fought, played online games while not on duty or strategize. I knew most of the men's voices due to the numerous times I'd been there.
And the voice that just spoke, I'd never heard that voice before.
"There's an encrypted lock on the bitch. It won't open." Someone else said. This one sounded close so I could guess that was the person trying to open the door.
"Step back. Lemme do it." The man growled and there was silence for some seconds. At this rate, my heart began to hammer dangerously in my chest, as if it would jump out of my body and run away.
My hold on the revolver tightened.
"Now!" Someone hollered and a series of gunfire followed, going on about one minute. Smoke began to spread into the room.
I should head over to the bathroom and lock myself in. I had no idea how many men were there but it would be bad if I got caught. What would they do to me?
I shuddered at the thought and tiptoed to the en suite, shutting it behind me as the door jiggled.
My lips wobbled. Sweat tricked down my forehead. My hands were beginning to go clammy.
