Luciano's POV
*
The ride back home was filled with so much tension. The police had offered to handle the issue with the unit that caused distractions so I left it to them and we even switched cars. Currently, all the men had been taken hostage and were already being transferred to one of my warehouses at the less crowded part of the kitchen.
The sound of Riley screaming before the call abruptly got disconnected was all I could think about as we sped home. Something was wrong, and Riley was never one to panic so I knew it must've been really bad if she had to scream at me to come get her.
One of the thing I'd always been proud of my girl was that she never panicked in a situation. She would always show her weak side whenever I was around but before that, she would put up a front and fight the enemy with all her strength.
Immediately we sped into the road leading to the gate I could see the damage that had already been done. The security post at the gate had been destroyed, and I had no doubt the inside of my estate would look worse.
I gave a few instruction to all my men and they instantly knew my plans for the enemy.
Driving in, we spotted a group of men in all black with black gloves as well who were just walking out of my yard and towards the SUVs and pickup trucks they'd parked outside.
"Should we park and engage in-"
"Riley is with them. Just drive straight." I ordered and he did as instructed.
My brows furrowed at the sight of Riley hoisted on someone's shoulder.
The sight was humiliating enough even to me her man, talk less of Riley who had been thrown over the huge idiot's shoulder.
When the men saw our cars approaching, they quickly took positions, aiming their guns at us and crowding over the man who was probably their gang leader.
I picked my phone and dialed a number, beginning to lose my patience.
"Sir?"
"Take a clear headshot. Riley is on the person's shoulder. I don't want any mishaps, is that understood?"
"Perfectly sir." She replied quickly and I had no doubt she was excited that I'd entrusted my girl's life into her care.
I alighted and my army did as well, the sounds of car doors shutting filling the vicinity for a few seconds. I'd already put on my bulletproof jacket after a quick stop to speak with the police but at the moment, I looked around and saw none of my men that we'd left at home were in sight and Dennis had been captured.
So it meant they were either dead or they'd been badly injured beyond fighting back.
Dennis's brother, Blake was standing in the center of the armed men facing us as we approached them but he was observing me with wary eyes. Good. Because I would have a bullet in his skull the moment I knew who gave him the balls to try and kidnap Riley.
They began to get into their cars, the large one bundling Riley into his car and getting behind the wheel.
"They're not allowed to get away!" I shouted into my Bluetooth. I was usually calm whenever I dealt with idiots but Riley was with them and I didn't want to risk it. Also, we couldn't shoot at them because I wouldn't want Riley to get shot.
We all got into our cars and waited for them to come back, because the route they were going through had already been blocked and the route we'd come from was currently being blocked as well.
