Izana's Precious Twin

12 Years

Pah was getting ready to cut the cake with a long ass sword. Some of the guys egged him on to go faster. He watched with amusement as Pah yelled back at them. Hina spoke with him.

"So you just came back from the past right Takemichi?'

She smiled looking ahead and placed her hand on top of his hand. 

"To think, now I'm the same age as you. I waited 12 years for this moment. Welcome back, Takemichi!"

He felt his eyes moisten and fat tears roll down his cheeks, again. Hina continued, sayin that not just she was waiting for him.

"We've been waiting for 12 years too with smiles each day. So what's with the sad face?!"

Chifuyu grinned at Takemichi. He and Draken stood in front of him filled with gratitude for every single thing Takemichi had done for their sakes. Truly a beautiful scene.

Naturally Pah noticed the little group and yelled at them to focus on him and the bride. Someone, probably Kazutora yelled at him it the bride was the focus for today. Takemichi learned that Pah inherited his parents' real estate business and made a good fortune.

Peh of course, was right by his side and served as an advisor. Mitsuya was a fashion a designer and Hakkai was a model working overseas. His older sister Yuzuha was his advisor and made sure he didn't get into trouble.

The twins own a delectable ramen shop and plan to open a second location in Sendai. Chifuyu owns his own pet shop and Kazutora works there with Baji. Yeah baby! Pet Shop Trioooo!!

Draken and Inupi own a motor shop together. And last but certainly not least, Naoto Tachibana standing outside well and alive. Takemichi couldn't control himself and ran into his arms to hug him tightly.

He needed to see him and feel him to confirm it. Of course the time travel meant Naoto survived but it was different seeing him there, thriving and smiling. Naoto let him and wrapped his arms around his back gently patting it.

"Mission complete, Takemichi Hanagaki. We've entered a world where my sister is alive and everyone else too."

She threw the bouquet behind her to the bridesmaids and cheering guests who tried to catch it. Hina stood on the ends of the steps and was the lucky woman to catch it. The ceremony was wrapping and people started to chat or leave so he took the opportunity to ask.

"Where's Mikey and Izumi?"

Draken answered that. It seemed Mikey joined the hospitality industry and opened a high end restaurant overseas. Chifuyu cut in and excitedly said how successful it was and they had tons of clients every day.

"Wow really?! Mikey's amazing as always!"

"Yeah. I made him promise to let Emma and I eat there for free during our honeymoon once we get married!"

For a moment Draken's smile dropped but it went back on when Takemichi looked at him again. He questioned about Izumi and Izana. They should be here too celebrating with them. Draken and Chifuyu strained themselves just to smile at Takemichi.

"Izumi's worldwide famous now! He gets ton of free stuff and does collabs too! I think Izana stays with him."

"I'm happy for him!"

Draken and Chifuyu both made excuses to leave and went their separate ways. If Takemichi knew the truth about them.....no he wouldn't. He was so happy and finally believed that this was the best future for everyone.

Takemichi would be devastated to hear what had really happened.

Hina and Takemichi walked home together as the sun was starting to set. 

"I can't wait for our wedding ceremony in June!"

"HUH?!"

"Of course you didn't know. You've been so busy trying to give everyone the best future, including me."

She walked ahead talking about the budget and dress. Takemichi stood there with a goofy smile watching his fiancée before catching up with her.

Next Day-

Mitsuya sketched at his design in his office. Takemichi came to have a suit fitted and measurements taken and catch up with him and Hakkai. Hina's dress was on a mannequin and it looked exquisite to him.

"Taka chan we brought the goods!"

"Yeah and we got surrounded by his fangirls on the way here."

Mitsuya spread the fabric and examined it. Deemed good he began taking Takemichi's measurements for his tuxedo. 

"Taka chan gets super serious when he starts measuring. And he's got a totally handsome side profile when he's serious." (We know you are GAY for Mitsuya Hakkai! Just admit and get married already.)

Yes, everything was going great. Pah getting married. Chifuyu and Mitsuya making their dreams true. Draken running a bike shop. And Takemichi Hanagaki. Still works at the DVD store. At least he got promoted to store manager.

He opened the door to his paper thin apartment filled with trash bags and an unbearable stench. (I laughed my head off in the anime when Naoto held up a sock with mushrooms! Reminded me of Tamaki.)

"Time to get cleaning!"

Couple Days Later-

He was back in front of his tv with a bag of chips watching the news. A criminal group, Bonten had been harming the public right in Tokyo. It made him think of Toman in some ways from the first future. Takemichi continued munching as the channel aired footage of some of its members.

He froze when he saw a familiar design tattooed on the back of his neck. 

The tattoo was still on his mind when he and Hina were eating at the Kawata's ramen shop. Two bowls were placed in front of them and they prepared to eat. Takemichi noticed a picture on a shelf.

It was to commemorate  the disbandment of Toman. (Remember their square shoulders? I get second hand embarrassment every time I look at it in the manga.)

"Hey, so how is Mikey?"

"Mikey? I-"

"He's doin great! His restaurant is doing much better than ours but we're planning to open a second location in Sendai!"

Angry interrupted his brother. Draken told the same thing to anyone who asked but he had his suspicions. But he must be doing it for a reason so he went along with it for Takemichi's sake. Smiley looked at him and Angry subtly shook his head.

"That's great! I should check out the magazines, Izumi's probably on the covers a lot more now!"

Angry turned around. No one had seen Izumi or his twin for about two years now. The news covered them and stuff but eventually died down and moved onto other celebrity drama. The Kurokawa Case was a cold file now.

It was Inupi who worked with Naoto on it to make sure it wasn't closed. Izumi Kurokawa is a well known person so something serious must have happened. Foul play was suspected. Takemichi from two years ago also joined them looking for potential leads.

But now past Takemichi came back and had no idea Izumi was missing and he was looking for him. It was a pleasant moment so Hina bit her lip and didn't mention anything. She and Emma had found a credible lead and wanted to investigate but he came back so it was put off for now.

The girls knew some people who knew some guys. Based on their info, Izumi was held captive in some cult and Izana had essentially been coerced into staying for his brother's safety and their lives.
